As noted before, Sasha Banks has been absent from WWE programming since this past May due to her current suspension from the company following a walk out incident over backstage creative issues during the May 16th WWE RAW show in Norfolk, Virginia.
WrestlingInc.com’s Raj Giri reported that his sources stated that Banks was recently released from WWE although he has yet to confirm if it was from her request or a decision made by WWE officials.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that Giri had stated in a recent conversation to him that he had been told that lawyers for Banks have been in recent talks with WWE over a potential release from the company.
Sapp also reported that his sources have yet to confirm if Banks has been released or not. Those spoken to stated that WWE’s Talent Relations department has not issued any statement regarding Banks’ status nor has any internal memos been recently sent over this situation.
The Mat Men Pro Wrestling’s Andrew Zarian reported that his sources also have yet to confirm if Banks had been released but he had heard late last week that Banks’ lawyers were working on getting that done.
