NXT brand talent Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan reportedly was recently released from WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that Donovan was released from the company this past Saturday due to an unspecified policy violation-related issue. Meltzer also reported that WWE officials had informed Donovan that the door was open for a potential return to the company in about a year.
Meltzer stated:
“Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan of the D’Angelo family was let go yesterday [June 11]. This wasn’t a budget or creative decision, but a policy issue and he was told he may be brought back in a year.”
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources confirmed Meltzer’s report of Donovan’s release but he had not heard yet if this is part of a larger batch of upcoming releases or not.
