Will Ospreay made his AEW debut tonight on Dynamite and will wrestle on Friday’s AEW Rampage in a match being taped tonight.
Trent Beretta cut an in-ring promo saying he and Rocky Romero want a shot at the ROH Tag Team titles, which brought the champions, FTR out to the ring.
Will Ospreay’s music then hit and he came out onto the stage. Meanwhile in the ring, members of Ospreay’s United Empire faction from NJPW (Aaron Henare and Aussie Open) attacked Trent and FTR, and Ospreay entered and gave Trent one of his signature moves, the Hidden Blade.
A six man match was announced for Friday’s Rampage, which is being taped tonight after Dynamite. It’ll be Will Ospreay & Aussie Open vs. Trent Beretta & FTR.
Two other members of Ospreay’s faction, Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan ran in two weeks ago on Dynamite during an FTR vs. Roppongi Vice ROH Tag Team title match and attacked both teams.
Ospreay is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, winning the title in 2021, but he was forced to vacate it after suffering a neck injury.
