Friday’s WWE SmackDown drew 1,927,000 viewers on FOX, down from the previous week’s 2,093,000 viewers.
It drew a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down from last week’s 0.49.
As noted before, SmackDown drew a preliminary viewership of 2,431,000 viewers which was greatly impacted by several FOX television markets preempting the show for NFL Preseason coverage. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported in Sunday’s Daily Update that around 28 of FOX’s markets aired NFL games during SmackDown’s time slot that night which caused some of NFL’s viewership numbers to be counted towards SmackDown’s numbers.
Last year’s SmackDown on August 13, 2021 drew 2,084,000 viewers. The August 14, 2020 episode drew 1,979,000 prelim viewers.
