NXT Tag Team Championship Steel Cage Match
Pretty Deadly (c) vs. The Creed Brothers

Prince and Wilson try to escape the cage but Julius and Brutus stop them. Wilson gets to the door but Brutus stops him. Julius and Brutus with double leg take downs and catapults but Prince and Wilson get to the cage and climb to the top. Julius and Brutus follow and stop them. Brutus with double sledges to Wilson’s back while Julius holds on to Prince with one hand. Julius drops Prince on the top rope. Brutus with a suplex to Wilson and Julius with a suplex to Prince. Wilson and Prince try to send Julius and Brutus into the cage but they stop short. Wilson and Prince are not so lucky and they go into the cage a few times. Julius and Brutus pass Prince with knees. Wilson with a forearm to Brutus. Julius stops Prince but Prince with an elbow to Julius.

Wilson with a Codebreaker off Prince’s back and he gets a near fall on Julius. Brutus stops Prince from climbing over the cage and Brutus power bombs Prince into the cage. Wilson gets to the top of the cage and Brutus stops him. Brutus and Wilson exchange punches on the top of the cage. Wilson falls to the inside of the cage and lands on the top rope. They fall to the mat. Julius leaps to the ropes and hits a springboard flipping side Russian leg sweep to Prince for a near fall. Wilson climbs over Brutus to get to the door and Brutus slams the door in Wilson’s face but Wilson falls back into the cage instead of forward to the floor. Prince with a drop kick to Brutus and a drop kick to Julius.

Wilson with a back elbow to Julius in the corner. Wilson holds Brutus for Prince to hit a running back elbow into the corner. Wilson with a reverse chin lock on Julius while Prince kicks him. Brutus with a bear hug but Prince escapes. Prince kicks Julius and hits a leg drop. Wilson punches Julius while Prince holds him. Prince pushes Brutus’ face into the cage while Julius misses a splash into the corner when Wilson moves. Wilson with a reverse chin lock and Prince goes to the turnbuckles and climbs to the top of the cage. Julius with a snap mare to Wilson and Julius grabs Prince on the top of the cage. Wilson with a forearm to Julius. Wilson chops Julius on the top rope and then follows with a clothesline. Prince with a chop to Julius and then Julius punches Prince. Julius is on top of the cage and Prince and Wilson set for a double superplex and hit it.

Brutus with a kick to Prince and knees to Wilson followed by a gutwrench suplex. Brutus with a splash into the corner on Wilson. Wilson punches Brutus on the turnbuckles and Prince joins in and so does Julius. Julius holds Prince and Wilson on his shoulders and Brutus with a cannonball to both men.

Damon Kemp makes his way to the ring and he climbs the cage and has handcuffs. Julius punches Damon while Damon tries to lock Julius into the cage. Julius kicks Kemp off the cage but Julius is cuffed to the top of the cage. Brutus with a double clothesline to Wilson and Prince. Brutus sends both men into the cage and then hits shoulder tackles on both. Brutus with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Prince. Brutus tries to get the handcuffs off and Prince calls for the door to be opened. Brutus with a cannonball off the top rope to both men and he gets a near fall on Wilson. Prince gets to the ring steps but Brutus pulls him back in.

Julius grabs Wilson by the hair while Brutus puts Prince in an ankle lock. Wilson knocks Brutus off Prince and they hit Spilled Milk for a near fall. Wilson and Prince kick Brutus and then they send Brutus into the cage a few times. Julius is still stuck to the cage. Prince with a knee to Brutus and then they send Brutus into the cage. Prince with a back elbow to Brutus against the cage followed by Wilson. They hit Spilled Milk again and get the three count.

Winners: Pretty Deadly (retain championship)


Backstage: Wes Lee, Von Wagner, Joe Gacy

McKenzie is in the back with the three options for Carmelo Hayes and the person who will face Carmelo Hayes is Wes Lee. Von storms off and Joe stands there while Wes says he is grateful for the opportunity to be the next North American champion.

Joe congratulates Wes and says he accepts the result of the vote. Joe says there is important work to do tonight.

Lash Legend vs. Fallon Henley

Lash with a knee and she sends Fallon to the mat. Fallon with a drop kick to the leg and then to the head. Fallon is sent to the apron and Fallon with a forearm. Lash with a bicycle kick to knock Fallon off the apron. Lash sends Fallon into the ring post and then into the apron. Lash with a knee to the midsection and then she gets Fallon up for a back breaker. Fallon gets to the turnbuckles to get out of the hold and she kicks Fallon in the leg and head. Fallon with a forearm and she avoids a bicycle kick. Fallon with a bulldog out of a wheelbarrow and she hits a flying boot for the three count.

Winner: Fallon Henley


Backstage: Valentina Feroz, Yulisa Leon, Sanga, Von Wagner & Robert Stone

Valentina Feroz says that it is torn and she is out nine months. Yulisa Leon hugs her and Sanga tells Valentina it is a shame it happened to her. He says now it is Yulisa’s time.

Von Wagner and Robert Stone show up and say they agree it is a shame that Von didn’t win the poll. Von gets in Sanga’s face and Stone holds him back.


Backstage: Briggs, Jensen, Fallon Henley, Toxic Attraction

Fallon, Josh and Brooks walk in the back and they see Toxic Attraction and Brooks is nervous as he talks about the photo from last week.

Mandy and Fallon have some words. Fallon says she does not care how long Mandy has been champion and she is not afraid of her. Josh and Brooks pull Fallon away as we go to commercial.


In-Ring: Toxic Attraction, Alba Fyre

Mandy says she is back from vacation. She says she called her shot and unified the titles and beat the two best people from that brand. I may even run NXT Europe too. Jacy says the three biggest stars of the brand are here on the anniversary of NXT. They are the super group. Gigi says when you think of super groups you think of Toxic Attraction. We made the NXT Women’s Tag titles the most important in the industry. She says that Katana and Kayden are holding the titles for them. Jacy says that Ivy and Tatum can pop off on social media all they want, but we will prove that it is Toxic Attraction and everyone else. Mandy says they are the baddest bitches in the world. Two time tag team champions and I am on my way to being the longest reigning champion in NXT.

Alba Fyre makes her way to the ring and she says that Mandy Rose may have unified both titles, but you know nothing about where I come from. I am from Scotland. We don’t brag because we like to hear our voices. We do it with hard work. You see a battle tested warrior from generations of fire keepers. You see your demise. You see the next NXT Women’s Champion.

Alba hits Jacy and Gigi with her bat and she avoids Mandy with the belt. Alba with a super kick followed by a Gory Bomb. Fyre goes up top and Gigi and Jacy pull Mandy from the ring.


Video Promo: Cora Jade

Cora Jade says that she didn’t change. The last twelve months have been about finding herself. She wanted people to like her and think that she is the future of the women’s division, but that wasn’t how I was seen. She says it got in her head and cost her a few title matches. She lost to Nattie but she earned her respect. I was in the locker room and I stopped caring about what people thought and then I knew my best friend was coming.

Everyone loves Roxanne even though she is a loser. Back to her. I am living my best life. I don’t need anyone’s approval. They have the education level of a second grader. She does not care what Zoey or Nikkita think. She mentions the other women in the company. She does not like Toxic Attraction but understands them. She says she feels bad for Wendy Choo.

Cora says she can’t wait to talk again for the second anniversary because she will be a bigger star and she will be the number one woman in this entire industry.


Backstage: Wendy Choo, Lash Legend

Wendy Choo is with McKenzie. Wendy says that Cora is jealous of Roxanne and Wendy isn’t living in a Generation of Jade, she lives in an apartment. Wendy says she might dress like this but she is a smart person.

Lash Legend shows up and Wendy says that Lash is not going to interrupt her. Wendy says the last time a bimbo came up to her, I turned her lights out. Wendy walks away.


Quincy Elliott vs. Sean Gallagher

Quincy shakes his rear end at Gallagher before he applies a wrist lock. Quincy escapes and blows a kiss. Quincy takes a punch from Gallagher and gives one back. Quincy with a back elbow. Quincy pulls Gallagher to the turnbuckles for a Goldust inspired Banzai Drop for the three count.

Winner: Quincy Elliott

After the match, Elliott dances with the referee.


Backstage: Cameron Grimes

Cameron Grimes is with McKenzie and she asks him who his partner will be. Grimes says this won’t be the last time his mouth got him in trouble. Grimes says his partner is the one person he can trust and that is Cameron Grimes. He says if he is a man up or a man down, he is the man to go to the moon.


Backstage: Wes Lee, Trick Williams, Cameron Grimes

Wes Lee is in the locker room and Trick Williams shows up and he distracts Lee for Hayes to hit Lee with a super kick. Hayes kicks Lee in the ribs and then they slam the locker door into Lee’s head a few times, once in front of officials.


Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo vs. Cameron Grimes & Joe Gacy

Lorenzo starts things off and they lock up. Lorenzo tries to back Grimes into his corner but Grimes with a waist lock and take down. Lorenzo goes for the leg and Grimes with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Grimes with a knee to the midsection and a sliding boot to the head. Tony tags in and he connects with forearms to the back and punches to the midsection. Grimes floats over and kicks Tony in the midsection many times. Grimes with a sunset flip but it takes time to get Tony over so he is able to tag in Lorenzo. Lorenzo with kicks to Grimes and Tony tags back in.

They make many tags and Lorenzo with knees. Tony tags in and they hit a double back elbow. Tony with a slam.

Joe Gacy comes to the ring with Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid.

Lorenzo tags in and he punches Grimes while Gacy stands on the apron. Grimes with a clothesline and Gacy wants the tag. Tony tags in and he puts Grimes in a front face lock and follows with punches and a suplex for a near fall. Grimes with punches but Tony backs Grimes into the corner. Lorenzo tags in and Grimes sends Lorenzo into Tony and hits a double rana. Lorenzo with a forearm to the back and Grimes lands on his feet and falls into the corner. Gacy tags in and he gives Lorenzo a uranage and then sends Tony to the mat. Gacy with another uranage go Lorenzo.

Grimes yells at Gacy and says he doesn’t need his help. Tony pulls Grimes to the floor and Lorenzo with a sleeper to Gacy. Grimes with a Spanish Fly slam to Lorenzo and Cave In to Tony. Gacy with a handspring clothesline to Lorenzo for the ‘three count’.

“Winners”: Cameron Grimes and the concept of Joe Gacy

After the match, Gacy hugs Grimes and Grimes says he does not need him.

Reid and Fowler attack Grimes from behind. They hit Ticket to Mayhem on Grimes. Gacy hits the handspring clothesline on Grimes.

We see JD McDonagh getting shaved. He says personal grooming is not a necessity it is an absolute luxury. Look at the NXT title scene. No more imperfections of the Big Strong Boy. We see JD getting cut. JD says Bron has not slipped his mind. This cat and mouse game between us will end soon.


Interview: Bron Breakker

We go to an interview with Bron Breakker from earlier in the week.

Vic asks Bron about having the first match on the new NXT. Bron says he was scared s***less and had all of these emotions. It felt right being in front of the crowd. He is asked about his match against Tommaso Ciampa. Bron says everyone thought he was going to win, but it didn’t happen. That was the best thing to happen to him. It taught him to deal with failure and adversity. He is asked about winning the title at New Year’s Evil. Bron says it was a great night for him and his family. He says it was the first time his father got to see him wrestle. That was the first WWE singles title for his family. He is asked about inducting his father and uncle into the Hall of Fame. Then he is main eventing Stand and Deliver but he didn’t get the job done. That match hurt. He was at Wrestlemania thinking that he had to leave Texas with the NXT title and he won the title back. Then he faces Gunther. He proved he could be the leader of the brand.

Vic asks Bron about his feud with Joe Gacy. Bron says that feud taught him how to handle things as champion. He is asked about unifying the title against Tyler Bate. Bron says he does not know what the future holds for him. He does not look six or nine months down the road. He is trying to uphold the legacy of the NXT title.


Backstage: Tyler Bate

McKenzie is with Tyler Bate. Tyler says Bron has had an incredible first year in NXT but he is looking for a rematch. No adventure is complete without obstacles. JD McDonagh stands in his way. We have history in the UK. If JD wants a title match, he has to go through him.


Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark vs. Kiana James & Arianna Grace

Stark and James start things off and Stark with a take down and James with a head scissors. James with a side head lock. James with an Irish whip and Zoey floats over and gives James an arm drag into an arm bar. Lyons tags in and applies a side head lock. Lyons blocks a hip toss and she punches James and suplexes Kiana. Kiana goes to the floor and brings her bag into the ring. All four women get in the ring and we go to commercial.

We are back and Grace with a double wrist lock on Lyons. Lyons gets Grace on her shoulders and hits a Samoan drop. Lyons with a roll into a forearm in the corner. Lyons with a clothesline and a thrust kick for a near fall. Zoey tags in and she hits a short arm clothesline and forearm. Stark with a thrust kick and gutwrench belly-to-back suplex. James tags in and James wants to be friends but she tries to clothesline Stark and moves. Stark with clotheslines and a flying forearm. James and Lyons have some words on the floor after James sends Stark to the floor.

They return to the ring and James with a kick and she gets a near fall. James with a reverse chin lock. Stark with elbows and James with a knee. James with a back breaker for a near fall. James keeps Stark from making the tag and she knocks Lyons off the apron with a forearm. Stark with a back body drop and Grace tags in. Stark with a kick and clotheslines. Stark with a forearm and elbow followed by a thrust kick. Stark with a sliding knee to the head and she kicks James off the apron. Grace with a kick for a near fall. Starks with the Z360 and Lyons tags in for the spinning heel kick and split for the three count.

Winners: Zoey Stark and Nikkita Lyons


Parking Lot: Malik Blade, Edris Enofe, The Schism

Malik Blade and Edris Enofe talk about Joe Gacy being the top superstar.

Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler come out and say that Cameron Grimes brought it on himself.

We see Wes Lee being checked out in the medical suite.


Vignette: Oro Mensah

We get an Oro Mensah video package. He will debut next week.


Backstage: Grayson Waller

McKenzie is in the back and Grayon interrupts the announcement of the top four vote getters. They are Toxic Attraction, Nikkita Lyons, Carmelo Hayes, and Bron Breakker.

McKenzie tells Grayson he was eliminated. Grayson says that the people suck. He says he is the face of the brand.


Hank Walker vs. Javier Bernal

Bernal wants a test of strength and they don’t lock up. Bernal with a waist lock and he slaps Walker in the back of the head. Bernal with a side head lock. Walker lifts Bernal up and puts him in the corner. Bernal slaps Walker and Walker tosses Bernal into the corner and biels him across the ring. Bernal drop kicks Walker in the knees and Walker hits the turnbuckles. Bernal with kicks to the leg and Walker with a punch. Bernal with a drop kick to the knee and a front face lock. Walker tosses Bernal to the mat. Walker runs into a back elbow in the corner. Walker blocks being sent into the turnbuckles. Walker sends Bernal into the corner. Bernal escapes a slam attempt and applies a rear naked choke. Bernal with a knee to the midsection and Walker with a Thesz Press and punches. The shirt comes off and he hits a splash into the corner. Walker with more splashes in the corner and a flying cross body for the three count.

Winner: Hank Walker


Vignette: Sol Ruca

Sol Ruca says she lives moment to moment and wave to wave. She says she enjoys having fun but is not afraid of testing her limits. When she arrives in NXT it won’t be a day at the beach for the other women.

Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa

Trick Williams says what they said a year ago stands true today. They are too good to be this humble. That is why they are still in the center stage. Hayes says Wes Lee isn’t making it out. He says he did Wes a favor. He is not built for this. He does not know what it takes to be the A Champion. Everyone is plotting his downfall. People are coming from all brands to take what he has built.

Solo Sikoa makes his way to the ring. Solo tells Carmelo he’s got next. Sikoa punches Hayes and sends Williams to the floor.

Sikoa punches Hayes many times. Sikoa with a back body drop. Hayes goes for a drop toe hold but Sikoa does not go down. Hayes with chops. Sikoa blocks an Irish whip and hits a back elbow. Sikoa with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Hayes gets to the apron to avoid a splash but Hayes is brought back into the ring and Sikoa tosses Hayes onto Williams on the floor. Hayes teases getting back in the ring so Sikoa goes to the floor and punches Hayes and sends him into the ring steps a few times. Sikoa sends Hayes back into the ring. Hayes with punches and kicks to Sikoa.

Hayes with a front face lock and chops. Sikoa with a back body drop and then he kicks Hayes in the back. Sikoa with a nerve hold. Hayes with a kick to Sikoa and Sikoa with a head butt. Sikoa punches Hayes on the floor and then Williams slams Sikoa’s injured knee into the apron when Hayes distracted the referee. Hayes with a springboard forearm and he kicks Sikoa in the hamstring. Hayes with a KneeDT. Sikoa with punches and Hayes clips Sikoa. Hayes gets a near fall. Hayes with a knee bar. Hayes continues to kick Solo in the hamstring. Hayes with a single leg crab.

Hayes with more kicks to the hamstring. Sikoa gets to the ropes and Hayes has to release the hold. Sikoa kicks Hayes away. Sikoa blocks a Codebreaker and Sikoa with punches to Hayes. Sikoa with a thrust kick and a Samoan drop. Sikoa with a running hip into the corner. Williams gets on the apron to pull Hayes off Sikoa. Hayes with a Codebreaker but Sikoa stays on his feet. Sikoa with a pop up Samoan drop and he gets a near fall. Sikoa knocks Williams off the apron. Sikoa catches Hayes and hits a uranage. Sikoa goes up top and hits a frog splash for the three count.

Winner: Solo Sikoa (new champion)
