NWA Reportedly Held a Recent Talent Meeting that Generated Heat for Several Talents

The National Wrestling Alliance reportedly held a talent meeting this past Tuesday in St. Louis, Missouri that ended up “ruffling some feathers” in the end, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the start time for this meeting had been delayed due to a production meeting for that night’s tapings ran longer than planned. This reportedly resulted in NWA talents Jay Bradley and Sal Rinauro acted as if they were in charge of the meeting and gave some advice that was stated to be unusual with some believing it was just them playing a rib on the locker room. Other talents spoken to stated that they were upset over the joking manner by Bradley and Rinauro since there were other veterans in the locker room who would have been more “deserving” to give a talk and hold the meeting instead.

Johnson reported that one story going around was that several NWA talents walked out of the meeting once they realized it was just a joke but he has yet to confirm if this actually happened. Bradley and Rinauro reportedly also ended up generating some backstage heat after several NWA talents learned that they did not actually call the meeting despite acting as if they did so.

Luke Hawx reportedly also spoke at this meeting which was stated to be about him telling talents that they need to respect the locker room and do a better job cleaning up after themselves instead of having others cleaning up their messes after shows. Hawx reportedly also stated that it was the least that talent could do for Billy Corgan after investing his money into them.

New Trademark Filed & One WWE Trademark Being Opposed

PWInsider’s Steven Fernandes reported that John Wayne Enterprises recently filed opposition to WWE’s trademark filing for “Duke’s Poker Room.” In the opposition filing, John Wayne Enterprises is claiming that WWE’s trademark could cause some potential confusion with the late Wayne’s famous “The Duke” nickname.
