As noted before, Bray Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda, was released from WWE in July 2021. Prior to his release, Wyatt had been dealing with some backstage heat over creative-related issues regarding the direction of his The Fiend character in the company.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials recently held talks with Wyatt regarding a potential future return to the company. Meltzer reported that Wyatt’s talks with other companies following his release had stalled due to Wyatt’s high asking price for bookings and potential signings.
Prior to his release from WWE, Wyatt reportedly was believed to be in the same tier with Randy Orton and Ronda Rousey as the highest paid talents in the company after Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Meltzer reported that his sources also stated that Paul “Triple H” Levesque currently has several former WWE talents planned to make their surprise returns to the company within the near future. These reportedly involve people who are not currently being talked about.
