Tony Khan Comments on Hangman Page’s Concussion & AEW’s Handling of His Injury Situation

As noted before, Hangman Adam Page suffered a concussion injury this past October. The injury took place during his match against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship on the October 18th episode of AEW Dynamite, which resulted in the match being called off after the match referee determined that Page was unable to continue and needed immediate medical assistance.

First Coast News held an interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan last month. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about Page’s injury and AEW’s overall handling of his concussion situation.

“He’s doing really well, I talked to him just in the past 24 hours, and also saw him not long after he was officially cleared and saw him after he came back, not long after we took him to the hospital and he got out. It was great to see him in good spirits that night. About 90 minutes after he got hurt, he was smiling and feeling pretty good. That’s about as fortunate as we could be given that he got knocked out in the match. I thought the doctors and the referee handled it really well. That’s what you have to do in a big fight. If one of the fighters is hurt, you need a referee that is going to come in, do the right thing, and stop the fight. The doctors took care of him, got him out of there, I thought Jon handled it well in his interview. He was very classy after and once they safely got Hangman out of there, we saw going forward it’s going to be Jon Moxley vs. MJ.”

Dax Harwood Reflects on FTR Journey as a Team & Future

Dax Harwood recently reflected on Instagram about the tag team career journey he has had with Cash Wheeler since 2014. Harwood also stated that he is currently unsure what the future is in store for their career as a team but is excited over the idea of them having “One Last Run” in the future.

All we’ve ever wanted to do in life was be a professional wrestler. Height, body-type, accent, life situations, we had all of it against us. Now, we leave a body of work I think we can be proud of.

When we started this journey in 2014, we tried to make sure we were always different from the everyone else wrestling currently. We also wanted to work so hard that eventually we’d go down as one of the greatest tag teams to ever do it. I’m not sure if we have reached that, but we’ll damn sure keep trying.

Thank y’all for going on this journey with us. Not sure where the next few years will take us, but I can’t wait for One Last Run.

Top Guys, out.
