Joe Gacy vs. Cameron Grimes

Grimes misses a boot but he kicks Gacy a few times. Grimes with a head scissors take down and a Yakuza kick in the corner. Grimes with kicks to the back of the leg and chest. Gacy with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Gacy with a European uppercut and kicks. Gacy with an uppercut and snap mare for a near fall. Grimes with punches and Gacy with a kick. Grimes with a back elbow and Gacy with a hip toss neck breaker for a near fall. Gacy with kicks to Grimes. Grimes with punches and Gacy with a punch to send Grimes to the mat. Gacy with a forearm and he gets Grimes on his shoulders. Grimes escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup. Grimes kicks Gacy to the floor and then connects with a kick from the apron.

Reid gets on the apron and Gacy tries to attack Grimes from behind but Grimes with an arm drag into an arm bar. Grimes with a kick to the chest. Gacy with an Irish whip and Grimes goes down hard in the corner. Gacy with a forearm across the chest and kicks to the back. Gacy with an elbow drop for a near fall. Gacy with a reverse chin lock. Grimes with punches but Gacy with a thrust kick and a belly-to-back suplex. Gacy gets a near fall. Gacy with a back elbow and he gets a near fall. Gacy returns to the reverse chin lock.

Gacy with a kick and snap mare before returning to the reverse chin lock. Grimes with punches and Gacy with an Irish whip. Grimes floats over and Gacy with kicks. Gacy with a crossface on Grimes. Gacy sends Grimes face first to the mat but Grimes with a Spanish Fly cross body. Grimes with an elbow and he floats over in the corner. Grimes with forearms and he kicks Reid off the apron. Gacy with a waist lock and Grimes with a standing switch. Grimes with thrust kicks and a German suplex. Grimes goes up top and he hits a cross body. Grimes with a forearm to knock Fowler off the apron. Grimes sends Gacy into Reid on the apron. Grimes with a poisonrana and Gacy gets to the floor. Grimes with a flip dive onto everyone on the floor.

Grimes sends Gacy into the ring and Reid distracts the referee to allow Ava Raine to push Grimes off the turnbuckles. Gacy with a handspring clothesline for the three count.

Backstage: Nathan Frazer, Axion, JD McDonagh

Nathan Frazer comes out of the trainer’s room and Axiom asks him how he is doing and he says he is out for a few more weeks. Axiom says he will be back.

JD McDonagh shows up and he tells Axiom to let everything to the real medical people. JD says he thinks Frazer has a herniated disc. JD says that Axiom wouldn’t have done any better if he won the best of three series. Axiom asks if he would have pulled a JD McDonagh and fail. JD tells Axiom to prove it in the ring.


Segment: Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams

We go to Carmelo Hayes at the Barber Shop with Trick Williams and friends. Trick says the streets are talking. Trick says they ain’t wrong but they ain’t right. Hayes says he does not have the title he made famous. Not one person has pinned him for the title. Trick says it has been in ladder matches. Hayes says he has to put respect on Wes Lee to come from hell and back to win the title. Lee didn’t beat him. Trick says he is a transitional chump.

Josh says the crowd is behind Wes and Trick yells at him. Hayes says what will happen when they are in the ring. Wes needs to beat him to prove that he deserves to be champ. It will be a short title reign. What will happen when it is one on one and the title is on the line. Trick says Hayes will win the titles back in two weeks. Hayes says they are going to have a contract signing next week to make it official.


Vignette: Scrypts

The lights go out. A voice says his name is written on the walls and he will come to NXT to see it all fall. The voice says it was how it was meant to be. It is signed Scrypts.


Sol Ruca vs. Elektra Lopez

They lock up and go to a stalemate. Lopez with a kick and Ruca with a kick and she sends Lopez to the mat. Ruca blocks a kick and she chops Lopez. Ruca lands on her feet on a hip toss and she hits an X Factor. Ruca follows Lopez to the floor and Lopez with a clothesline. Lopez gets a near fall when they return to the ring. Lopez gets another near fall. Lopez with knees to the back and an elbow drop for a near fall. Ruca gets a series of near falls. Ruca with a clothesline and drop kick. Ruca with a flying shoulder tackle and a handspring splash into the corner. Lopez pulls Ruca off the turnbuckles and Lopez with a sit out power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Elektra Lopez

After the match, Indi Hartwell attacks Lopez from behind and they fight to the floor. Referees come out to try to separate them.


Backstage: Thea Hail, Duke Hudson, Andre Chase

Thea Hail yells that Charlie Dempsey showed that he is a coward when he attacked Andre. Thea says he will take care of Dempsey. Duke says he wants to be ringside to support Andre and uphold the integrity of Chase University. Duke yells that Dempsey attacked everyone who wears the U.

Andre says he is going to get that son of a bitch and give him a Chase University sized ass whooping.


Segment: Jacy Jayne, Mandy Rose, Alba Fyre

Jacy calls Mandy. She says she came from the mall and she says she is nervous to go to the arena because of Bonfire Jones. She says Gigi has three broken ribs after last week. Mandy tells Jacy not to show up. Mandy tells Jacy to stop by her place.

Jacy says she got stopped by a mall cop. Jacy is pulled out of the car while Mandy tries to figure out what is going on.

Alba shows up and says that she would take them out one by one. Last week, it was Gigi. This week it is Jacy. Next week, I will take your title and be the last woman standing.


Charlie Dempsey vs. Andre Chase

They lock up and Chase with a wrist lock but Dempsey with a snap mare and shoulder tackle. Chase with a monkey flip and clothesline that sends Dempsey over the top rope to the floor. Chase with a chop and he sends Dempsey into the apron. Chase with a front face lock and Dempsey with a Northern Lights suplex and bridge into a double wrist lock. Chase with a rollup for a near fall. Chase with jabs and a chop. Chase with a slam and it is time for the C-H-A-S-E-U stomp. Dempsey blocks a uranage and Dempsey with an ankle lock. Andre tells Duke not to push the rope closer so he can reach it.

Dempsey tries to apply a crossface chicken wing and Duke throws in the towel.

Winner: Charlie Dempsey

After the match, Chase says he didn’t give up.


Backstage: Indi Hartwell

McKenzie is with Indi Hartwell. She says what you saw was her finally figuring out how this place works. Elektra had it coming. No one proves a point on her. Go ahead and do it to Sol Ruca, but not to her. You cannot count on anyone and you have to take what you want. Indi says she is locked in on herself and she is betting the house on her.


Segment: Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, Fallon Henley, Kiana James

We are back at Fallon’s bar and Josh and Brooks are talking, but Kiana James enters with her own graphics. Kiana tells Jean this property has promise. Kiana says she didn’t come to drink, she came to talk. Brooks says something that embarrasses Josh. Fallon says the answer is no. Kiana says she has offered more than it is worth. Fallon says this place has memories. Josh tries to defend Fallon’s decision while Brooks suggests selling. Fallon says she learned to play pool at this bar and she spent time eating peanuts with her grandfather. Kiana says she has a final offer to buy the property and build an apartment complex. Fallon says no and Kiana is asked to leave.


Hank Walker vs. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo

Lorenzo with a kick and forearm. Walker with a forearm and Lorenzo chokes Walker in the corner. Walker with punches in the corner and a hip toss. Hank with an Irish whip but Lorenzo floats over and hits a drop kick. Walker with a side head lock and Lorenzo with a shoulder tackle but he bounces off Walker. Walker sends Lorenzo over the top rope to the floor. Lorenzo drops Hank on the top rope and he follows with a drop toe hold and forearms. Lorenzo with knees to Hank’s head for a near fall. Hank blocks a kick and he connects with a clothesline and a Thesz Press and punches. Lorenzo with a boot.

Hank sends Lorenzo flying and the shirt goes flying as well. Hank with a splash into the corner followed by an Irish whip and splash. Hank slams Lorenzo. Lorenzo slaps Hank and Lorenzo with a thumb to the eye and a rollup for a near fall. Lorenzo with a knee drop to the back of the head for the three count.

Winner: Channing Lorenzo


In-Ring: Grayson Waller, Von Wagner, Robert Stone, Bron Breakker

We are back with the Grayson Waller Effect. Waller welcomes everyone and he tells Truth hello at home after he kicked his ass last week.

Von Wagner makes his way to the ring first, and he is joined by Robert Stone. Out next is the NXT Men’s Champion Bron Breakker.

Grayson welcomes them to the show. Grayson asks Von if he deserves the title shot. Von says it is ‘breaking news’ that people don’t like Von Wagner. Von says Joe thinks he is in charge of NXT. Stone says the NXT Universe never gave him a chance because they are jealous of him. Von is a once in a generation athlete. Von says he does not expect the NXT Universe to like him. He isn’t here to be a fan favorite like Bron. He is here for one thing and that is the title. I left you laying last week and it won’t change next week. Stone interrupts and says that Von is more powerful and more dangerous than anyone who Bron has faced.

Bron tells Von to try to pull the crap he did last week face to face instead of from behind my back. Bron is shown a comment about how they want to see Bron lose. Bron says he knows where they are coming from. NXT is about the future and the next big thing. That was him last year. He says he has had a chance to learn from Ciampa and Gargano and you have to go out and take it if you want it. Bron says the history goes back a long way. All of those champions were in the same spot he is in now. You get a chance next week. JD McDonagh and Apollo Crews want a shot. Bron asks Apollo if he is happy that he mentioned Apollo. No one is going to take the title from him. Von says he is dangerous. The first time he walked into the building, I got a title match. Next week it is just you and me and I will ragdoll your ass around the ring. I am a second generation star like you. I didn’t use that to get in the door or get any stroke.

Bron and Von go face to face and then Bron slams Stone’s face into the table because he was talking too much.


Backstage: Wes Lee

McKenzie is with Wes Lee. She asks about what has recently happened. Wes says being a champ is good but what happened last week hurt. Carmelo is right that he hasn’t been pinned to lose the title. Wes says the tag team competitor was never supposed to have single’s gold, but here he is. He says he will make Melo miss in two weeks. Wes says he is on a roll you only get once in a career and it isn’t going to stop.

You got up in my business and you made the save for someone you probably don’t know. I don’t know you and I don’t want to know you. You reek of desperation to be liked or accepted. You are the one who sits by the phone hoping that you get invited to hang out with the popular girls. That text never came. You will never be me. You will always be on the outside looking in. Next time you want to make a friend at my expense, think twice about it.

JD McDonagh vs. Axiom

They lock up and JD with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. JD with a side head lock and Axiom with a head scissors and JD escapes. Axiom with a side head lock take down and JD with a head scissors and he holds on for a moment before Axiom escapes and he bridges over to stretch JD. Axiom with a back slide for a near fall. Axiom with another near fall. Axiom misses a kick and then they go for a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock. JD with a kick and he gets a near fall. JD with a Gory Special into a near fall. JD gets a few more near falls.

Axiom with a sunset flip for a near fall. Axiom with an arm drag and drop kick that sends JD to the floor. Axiom with a kick to JD to knock him off the apron and we go to commercial.

We are back and we see JD drop kick the ring steps into Axiom during the break. Meanwhile, JD works on the legs. Axiom with an enzuigiri. Axiom with chops and a drop kick. Axiom with a springboard moonsault onto JD on the floor but Axiom holds his knee. Both men struggle to beat the count to get back into the ring. JD kicks Axiom in the back of the injured leg and he does it again. Axiom with a sleeper and body scissors but JD gets to the ropes to break the hold. JD with a drop toe hold and JD with a single leg crab attempt but Axiom with kicks. JD applies a Boston Crab.

Axiom gets to the ropes to break the hold. JD with a forearm and Axiom fires back. They go back and forth. Axiom with a flying punch and he tries for an O’Connor Roll but JD holds on to the ropes. Axiom tries to kip up but he may have reinjured his knee. JD with a punch and JD goes up top and goes for a moonsault but Axiom catches JD in a triangle. JD goes for a power bomb but Axiom with a rana for a near fall. Axiom with a kick for a near fall. Axiom’s knee gives out and JD goes for Devil Inside but Axiom counters into a sleeper but JD pulls the hands off. JD blocks a cross arm breaker attempt. JD works on the leg and turns the knee in an unnatural position and the referee pulls JD off Axiom. The referee asks Axiom if he wants to continue and he tells the referee not to stop the match.

The medical staff checks on Axiom and he refuses to give up but he cannot get up. The referee stops the match.

Winner: JD McDonagh (by referee stoppage)

After the match, JD says that is a severe strain, not a tear. JD says he is a nice guy. He says he is not nice when that necessary evil comes out. It doesn’t happen when you get in the way of me and the title. Ask Ilja Dragunov. JD says he wants someone to get on his level and test him. JD says he is looking at Apollo.


Five Minute Challenge
Damon Kemp vs. Brutus Creed

We take a look at Damon Kemp and Brutus Creed with a video package.

Brutus attacks Kemp on the floor before the match and then Brutus with punches in the corner followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Brutus with a shoulder tackle to knock Kemp off the apron and into the ringside barrier. Brutus sends Kemp into the ring steps. Kemp gets into the ring to avoid Brutus and Brutus grabs Kemp. Brutus pulls Kemp to the floor. Brutus sends Kemp’s head into the announce table a few times. Kemp kicks Brutus in the knee. Kemp with a forearm and then he sends Brutus into the turnbuckles. Kemp gets a chair and the referee warns Kemp. Brutus punches the chair out of Kemp’s hands. Brutus with forearms and a cannonball senton or two. Brutus gets the chair and he hits Kemp with it. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Damon Kemp (by disqualification)

After the match, Brutus says something to Damon. Brutus looks at the chair and he hits Kemp with it. The Creeds and Ivy look up at the balcony and they see Veer and Sanga.

Backstage: Indi Hartwell, Roxanne Perez

Roxanne Perez stops Indi to see if she is okay. Roxanne says she can talk to her. Indi asks Roxanne if she learned anything after Cora. Indi says there are no friends in this business. It is never going to work that way and this conversation proves it.


Next Week

Next week, Bron Breakker faces Von Wagner for the NXT Men’s Championship. JD McDonagh faces Apollo Crews. Mandy Rose faces Alba Fyre for the NXT Women’s Championship in a Last Woman Standing Match.


NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
Katana Chance & Kayden Carter (c) vs. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark

Stark and Chance start things off and Stark with a wrist lock. Lyons tags in and she works on the wrist and lifts Chance in the air and sends her to the mat. Stark tags in and she hits a double sledge off the turnbuckles. Chance springboards over Stark and hits a drop toe hold. Carter helps Chance and Chance with a monkey flip but Stark lands on her feet. Chance with a head scissors take down and Carter tags in. Chance with a moonsault and Carter gets a near fall. Stark with a drop kick and a wrist lock. Lyons tags in and she kicks Carter and Stark with a clothesline. Lyons gets a near fall. Lyons misses a round kick and Carter blocks a kick but Lyons with a take down and an arm bar. Lyons with Irish whips to Carter and she goes for a slam and Chance tries to interfere but Stark stops her. Lyons and Stark with slams but Carter and Chance kick Lyons and Stark. Stark is sent to the floor. Carter with a drop kick to Lyons and she hits a cross body but Lyons catches her. Chance drop kicks Carter’s back to send Lyons to the floor. Chance with a plancha onto Stark.

Carter with a crucifix in the ropes and Chance drop kicks Lyons. Carter gets a near fall. Carter sends Lyons into the corner and Chance tags in. Carter with a drop kick in the corner and Chance gets a near fall. Stark tags in and Chance with an inside cradle for a near fall. Stark sends Chance into the turnbuckles and snap mares Chance. Stark with a reverse chin lock. Chance misses a clothesline and Stark gets a near fall. Stark with a stretch muffler on Chance. Stark gets Chance off her feet with the stretch muffler but Chance with a sunset flip for a near fall. Carter tags in and she hits Stark and knocks Lyons off the apron. Carter with a series of kicks followed by a victory roll and back heel kick. Carter with a running boot to Stark. Carter with a splash onto Stark and Chance with a splash to Lyons.

Carter gets Stark up and Chance with a facebuster off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Stark counters a wheelbarrow move into a belly-to-back suplex. Lyons tags in and knocks Carter off the apron. Lyons misses a splash into the corner. Chance with a cross body and Lyons rolls through and catches her. Lyons with a slam. Stark with a reverse suplex and a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Lyons and Carter go to the floor. Carter with a drop kick to Lyons on the floor. Stark goes up top and misses a Phoenix Splash. Stark sends Chance to the turnbuckles but Chance goes for a DDT but Stark blocks it. Chance with stundog millionaire for a near fall. Carter with a jumping thrust kick to Lyons and everyone is down. Stark almost hits Lyons but stops shirt and then Lyons pushes Stark out of the way to take a double super kick. Chance lands on her feet on a suplex attempt. Chance with a DDT and then Carter tags in and they hit the 450 splash and neck breaker combination for the three count.

Winners: Katana Chance and Kayden Carter (retain championship)

After the match, Stark and Lyons take the title belts to give to Chance and Carter. Stark holds on to the title belt and hits Lyons with it. Stark with a sliding boot to the head. Stark tosses the title belt to Carter.
