AEW: Britt Baker Comments on Adam Cole’s Return, Saraya on WWE’s Return Offer, FTR Update

Britt Baker Comments on Adam Cole’s Surprise AEW Return

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Los Angeles, California featured the surprise return of Adam Cole. Prior to his return, Cole had been out of action for AEW since this past June due to a concussion injury.

Cole’s girlfriend and AEW talent Britt Baker reflected earlier today on Twitter praising Cole for all the hard work he did to make his return to AEW possible.

“For months the only time @AdamColePro left the house was to go to bran/physical therapy appointments. There was a time he wasn’t allowed to fly on planes or do anything more than go for a walk. I’m so damn proud of how hard he worked every single day to get back to you all.”

Following Baker’s comments, Cole responded om Twitter thanking Baker for all of her support helping him on his road to his AEW return.

Saraya Comments on Triple H’s WWE Return Offer Included Opportunity to Wrestle Again

Metro held a recent interview with Saraya. One of the topics discussed included Saraya’s thoughts on WWE’s offer for her to return to their company prior to her signing with AEW included the possibility of her being medically cleared to wrestle again.

“Man, I do love Hunter, he’s so fantastic. He was like, ‘Wait what happened?!’ I was like, ‘I dunno, they haven’t renewed my contract.’ He was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Well I didn’t know that, so I’m sorry!’ He was really fantastic. He did give me the opportunity to potentially be a GM again, and give me the opportunity to be like, ‘If you ever potentially want to wrestle again, I’ll give you that opportunity too.’ He was very open about any ideas that I had.”

Prior to her signing with AEW, Saraya had worked in WWE under the ring name of Paige from September of 2011 to June of 2022.

Dax Harwood Comments on FTR Being Granted A Few Months Off for Rest Break

A recent episode of the FTR with Dax Harwood podcast featured co-host Dax Harwood revealing that FTR was recent granted a few months off for rest from AEW and Ring of Honor. Harwood also stated that FTR will be making a decision regarding the future of their careers by this April.

“I also have the blessing of Tony Khan to talk about this and make a statement about this. Tony has been nothing but top-notch to me and Dan [Cash] since day one. There are things that we haven’t agreed on, as any boss and any employee, even any friend. There are times that I felt the boat was missed on opportunities for us. There were times that I was super happy with everything we were doing, but there has come a time where we are on the tail end of our career. Right now, at this point in our career, is the most important time in our career. I mean that monetarily, creatively, and personally. It is the most important time in our career. With that being said, we have asked and been granted the next few months off of television so we can sit back, reflect, decide, let out bodies heal, and figure out what we’re going to do for the next few years. Whatever we decide to do next will be the absolute last thing we do as far as wrestling.

By April, we will have an answer. I have to take my health, my family, my creativity, and I have to take my personal life all in consideration about what we’re going to do next. I know what I want to do, but whatever we do, I just want to be respected. I feel we have done something so special in 2022 and most of that is in part to the fans. We deserve to continue to build on our legacy for ourselves, but also we owe it to the fans to build on that legacy because they made us this past year. I’m not sure exactly how long we’ll be away. It may be all the way until the end of our contract. Our contract is up in April.”
