ROH Reportedly Planning Resuming TV Tapings Later This Month

As noted before, Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan announced this past December that ROH TV would be resuming airing new episodes at some point following the relaunch of ROH’s HonorClub streaming service.

Voices of Wrestling reported that their sources stated that ROH officials are currently planning to hold the first set of television tapings for the resumption on ROH TV on February 25th and 26th.

Fightful Select reported that their sources also stated that ROH officials are currently planning on holding ROH TV tapings at the end of this month and in Orlando, Florida. While the exact location is currently not known, talent spoken to reportedly stated that they are currently under the assumption that it will be taking place at Universal Studios, which is the same location AEW uses for their Dark tapings.

Jay Briscoe’s Passing Update – Briscoe’s Daughters Health Update

As noted before, Jay Briscoe, real name Jamin Pugh, passed away this past January following a car accident in Delaware, which claimed the life of Pugh and the driver of the second car and also left Pugh’s two daughters hospitalized in critical condition.

Friend of the Pugh family Josh Wharton provided a new update this past Thursday on Facebook regarding the current health and injury status of Pugh’s daughters.

JJ, Briscoe’s nine-year old daughter was officially released from the hospital yesterday and is back home.  She will have to wear her neck and back brace for four more weeks, at which point she will then return to the hospital to have her back brace surgically removed.  She will obviously need continued physical therapy as she recovers but she was able to return home last night.

Gracie, Briscoe’s 12 year old daughter, will be moved to the rehab floor of the hospital so that she can focus more on physical therapy towards regaining use of her legs below the knee.  She has feeling in her legs but is still unable to move them below the knees.  She noted to her sister that her leg, which has felt as if its tingling nonstop, “felt normal” last night.

Matt Cardona Comments on Chelsea Green’s WWE Return & His Recent Trademark Filings

MuscleManMalcolm held a recent interview with Matt Cardona. One of the topics discussed included Cardona’s thoughts on his wife Chelsea Green’s return to WWE at this past Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2023 event.

“She (Chelsea Green) was in the Royal Rumble? I missed it, I missed it… Maybe that’s when I went to go take a piss. Nah, I’m kidding. I’m super proud of Chelsea Green, super happy for her to go back to WWE. She needs to go back. I mean, she didn’t even have a cup of coffee there. She had the Keurig pot, didn’t even press ‘brew’, you know what I’m saying? She didn’t have a taste. She has to go now and she’s a superstar and now the whole world’s gonna know.”

Cardona also gave his thoughts on why he recently filed a trademark for his former Zack Ryder ring name he used during his career in WWE.

“Always ready. I’m a businessman. This isn’t ‘show friends’, it’s show business, as the great Scott Hall once said.”
