Dragon Lee Makes Official WWE Debut at NXT Roadblock

As noted before, Dragon Lee signed an official contract with WWE this past December and was originally scheduled to report to their Performance Center this past January but this was delayed due to work visa-related issues.

Tuesday’s NXT Roadblock show featured Lee making his official on-screen debut for WWE.

During the show, Lee was shown in the crowd and was hyped up by the announcers as being WWE’s newest big signing. Lee was also shown under the ring name of Dragon Lee although it is currently not known if he will be getting a name change or not in the future for his NXT and WWE career.


Johnny Gargano Makes Surprise Return to NXT

Tuesday’s NXT Roadblock show also featured Johnny Gargano making his surprise return to the NXT brand.

During the Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment between Grayson Waller and NXT head booker Shawn Michaels, Waller and Michaels engaged in a heated exchange of words over Waller’s grievances with Michaels in recent weeks.

Waller tried to goad Michaels into accepting a match against him but Michaels turned the table and revealed that he had a better choice for Waller’s match offer. This was revealed to be Gargano making his surprise return to NXT and the official announcement of him versus Waller at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 event on April 1st in Los Angeles, California.


WWE News & Notes

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, former MMA fighter Daniel Cormier stated that he will be leading ESPN’s coverage for WWE’s upcoming WrestleMania 39 event this April in Inglewood, California. Cormier also teased the possibility of him doing something with Brock Lesnar at the event.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that NXT talent Carmelo Hayes was in attendance backstage during this past Monday’s RAW show in Boston, Massachusetts. Hayes reportedly was invited by WWE officials for a main roster dark match against Akira Tozawa that was taped prior to the start of RAW for this Thursday’s Main Event show.

This past Monday’s RAW show in Boston featured John Cena’s first appearance in WWE since this past December. Cena recently reflected on Twitter about his appearance on RAW. Cena stated “Last night was the first time I entered the arena and had the thought that it might be the last time. Iā€™ll never be able to put into words how much I love the #WWEUniverse.”

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson also reported that his sources stated that A&E will be airing two episodes of their Biography: WWE Legends series on March 19th. Johnson reported that the first episode will be focused on WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler while the second episode will be focused on Paige, also known as Saraya in AEW.

WWE recently announced that singer Becky G will be performing “America The Beautiful” on Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 on April 1st in Inglewood, California.

The Hudson Valley Post reported that indie tag team The Now, Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins, recently filed two cease and detest orders against WWE over the company using the term “The Now” as a moniker for Austin Theory. In an interview with the publication, Dalishus stated that they are considering filing a lawsuit against WWE if the company continues to use the name over claims of trademark infringement.
