Endeavor CEO Comments on Interest in Potential Purchase of WWE

UFC’s parent company Endeavor held an investor’s meeting this past Tuesday to discuss the results of their fiscal fourth quarter 2022 results.

One of the topics discussed included Endeavor CEO Ari Emmanuel’s thoughts about his company’s current interest in a potential purchase of WWE in the future.

“As it relates to WWE, it’s an unbelievable product.  Vince is an unbelievable…he’s created a great business.  We’ve had a long standing relationship with them over two decades.  We’re doing, as I indicated, the On Location business with them, The Endeavor Streaming with them.  You know, his business is really valuable, but we’re not going to do anything as it relates to changing our leverage position right now.”

In regards to Endeavor not wanting to change their leverage position, Emmanuel stated earlier in the call that the company’s current priority is to decrease their current level of debt, which would be made worse with a purchase of WWE at its new asking price of $9 billion.
