WWE: King & Queen of the Ring Location Update, Wendy Choo Injury Update, A&E WWE Ratings

King and Queen of the Ring 2023 Reportedly Taking Place in Saudi Arabia

As noted before, WWE currently has plans to hold two events this May with one being this year’s King and Queen of the Ring tournaments in late May.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials currently has this year’s King and Queen of the Ring event scheduled to take place on May 27th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. While the venue for this upcoming event was not given, it is currently expected to take place at the King Abdullah International Stadium due to that being the location of WWE’s previous events in the city.

This will be the first time that WWE will be holding a King and Queen of the Ring tournaments since 2021.


Wendy Choo Injury Status Update

Tuesday’s NXT show featured a backstage segment involving the aftermath of Wendy Choo being attacked by an unseen mystery person in WWE’s most dangerous and dreaded location, the NXT parking lot.

The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported on Twitter that his sources stated that Choo had recently suffered a legitimate injury and the parking lot segment was NXT officials way of writing her out of the show while she recovers.

While the exact nature of Choo’s injury is currently not known, those same sources reportedly also stated that her injury is not considered to be serious and she is currently expected to only be out of action for a short period of time.


A&E WWE Programming Ratings – Feb. 26, 2023

This past Sunday’s Biography: WWE Legends drew 453,000 viewers on A&E. This episode also drew a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a #25 ranking in the key demographic rankings. This was down compared to last week’s 496,000 viewers and 0.15 key demographic rating. This episode focused on WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

This past Sunday’s WWE Rivals drew 421,000 viewers on A&E. This episode also drew a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a #23 ranking in the key demographic rankings. This was down compared to last week’s 444,000 viewers and 0.14 key demographic rating. This episode focused on the famous The Undertaker vs. Mankind feud.
