As noted before, New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Jay White’s contract with the company expired this past February and he was not expected to be signing with WWE following interest from the company over him.
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Long Island, New York featured White making his surprise return to AEW. Following Ricky Starks’ entrance for his match against Juice Robinson to kick off the show, White’s “Switchblade” NJPW theme played resulting in Starks being distracted and ambush attacked by White and Robinson. Starks’ match with Robinson was announced afterwards to officially ruled a No Contest.
