As noted before, Warner Bros Discovery is currently rumored to be interested in the idea of potentially signing a television deal with WWE for WWE programming on their networks.
Fightful Select reported that their sources denied the rumors of WBD being interested in a deal with WWE are true.
Several high level WWE sources reportedly had inquired if WBD’s interest in WWE programming was something being talked about within the television industry and learned that this was not the case. Those same sources reportedly stated that there has not been any talks between WWE and WBD over this matter. It was reported that WWE has already had talks with other interested parties for potential new deals though.
Those spoken to within WBD reportedly also denied the rumors being true. WBD sources spoken to reportedly did not say anything ill will towards WWE but had indicated that WBD is currently in the process of substantially expanding their relationship with AEW, both financially and content-wise. Those same sources stated that this expansion will become evident soon and hinted it involves AEW’s upcoming new television show and more potential new content.
