AEW reportedly held a mandatory “all hands on deck” talent and staff meeting on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to Fightful Select.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that this meeting was “positively received” and was lead by Adam Hopkins. It was reported that Hopkins had spoken about “favored terms,” some of AEW’s preferences as a company, and had offered some of his own personal experience.
It was also reported that AEW officials had stressed the significance of “media literacy” and them being aware that talent have been speaking to the “dirtsheets.” AEW officials reportedly stated that they would prefer if their talent would speak “off the record” when it comes to their talks with the dirthseets for particular situations and make sure that those they are speaking to know what “off the record” means. It was reported that this did not come off as being a warning or finger waving and instead just AEW officials wanting to help protect their talent and company in regards to potential misinformation being reported upon.
Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli reportedly also spoke during this meeting.
Those who attended the meeting reportedly spoke highly of the meeting, especially towards Hopkins and his experience and him being a “game changing” hire for the company’s public relations department.
