WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Vacated Due to Liv Morgan Injury, 4-Way Match to Crown New Champions

As noted before, Liv Morgan suffered an unknown injury during last week’s SmackDown show in Knoxville, Tennessee. Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were originally scheduled to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green at this past Monday’s RAW show in Greensboro, North Carolina but this match was postponed due to Morgan’s injury situation.

During Friday’s SmackDown show in Columbia, South Carolina, WWE announced that Morgan and Rodriguez have relinquished their Women’s Tag Team titles due to Morgan’s injury.

It was also announced that the May 29th RAW show will feature a Four-Way Women’s Tag Team match with the winner to be crowned the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

It was announced that the teams for this upcoming match are Rodriguez & mystery partner, Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Damage CTRL (Bayley & IYO SKY), and Deville & Green.
