WWE: Seth Rollins on Fans Singing His Theme at Shows, Ciampa on Return from Injury, Edge 25th Anniversary

Seth Rollins Comments on Not Wanting Fans to Stop Singing His Theme During Promo Segments

The New York Post held a recent interview with Seth Rollins. One of the topics discussed included Rollins thoughts on fans singing his entrance theme and if he would want them to stop singing during promo segments involving him on WWE shows.

“No. (Laughs) Why would I want to stop it? They’re doing my thing for me. Why would I want to stop them? What good is that? That’s silly. They “What” people when they’re bored with them. They’re singing my song to my opponent to aggravate him, to piss him off. They know that it annoys him so they keep doing it. That’s as good as it gets. If he was a heel out there standing by himself and they were booing him out of the building a la Dominik Mysterio and he couldn’t get a word in, everyone would be thinking that’s the greatest thing ever. The fact that there is a babyface who has something like that to utilize to antagonize the bad guy, it doesn’t get any better than that. Why would I ever want to stop them? I say party all night long. Mind you, I didn’t tell them to party all night long. All I did was stand there and when I talk, they listen. So, what does that tell you? I do have some control of them. I hope it’s like that every single time my opponent picks up a microphone to say something bad to me. Please, bring it on. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the fire baby.”

Tommaso Ciampa Comments on Return from Injury at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show in Cleveland, Ohio featured Tommaso Ciampa making his surprise return from injury. This was Ciampa’s first appearance in WWE since this past October due to a hip injury and surgery.

Following his match against The Miz on the show, WWE held a digital exclusive backstage interview with Ciampa. One of the topics discussed included Ciampa’s thoughts about his recent return from injury to WWE,

“It feels good, I should say it feels great to be back. Nine months. Nine months it’s been since I walked out in front of those people, nine months since I’ve stood here in front of this camera. Mike [The Miz] went out there tonight, and he told everybody that he was here to answer Seth’s open challenge. Well, he’s not the only one who had that intention. Because I’ve had my eyes on Seth’s gold ever since the first day he laid his hands on it. You want to know what I want? You want to know what Tomasso Ciampa wants? I want it all. I want Monday Night Raw, I want SmackDown, I want every premium live event, I want Money in the Bank, I want the briefcase, I want SummerSlam, I want Survivor Series, I want the Royal Rumble. I want to start one, I want to go to 30. I want to go to WrestleMania. I want to be the main event. I want to be the main attraction. I want to be the guy that everybody talks about. I want to be a household name. I want everybody all around the world to talk about Tommaso Ciampa. Because I’m that damn good. I’m that damn good on the microphone, I’m that damn good in the ring, and last time I was in WWE, last time I was on Monday Night Raw, I made a lot of mistakes that I had 275 days to think about every damn mistake that I made. Sometimes, if you want things right, you do it yourself.”

WWE Announces Celebrations for 25th Anniversary of Edge’s WWE Debut

WWE recently announced that they will be holding a week long celebrations on their official YouTube channel and social media accounts in honor of this week being the 25th anniversary of Edge’s official debut in the company.

Official press release:

Celebrate 25 years of Edge in WWE with #Edge25

“You think you know me?”

Those cryptic words ushered Edge to a WWE ring for the very first time 25 years ago this week. The man who’d eventually be known as The Rated-R Superstar emerged from the crowd to prevail in his debut match on the June 22, 1998, edition of Raw, laying the foundation for a remarkable Hall of Fame career.

In the decades that followed, Edge established himself as not only one of WWE’s most beloved — and at times, despised — competitors, but also one of its most decorated and resilient. A multi-time World Champion, Mr. Money in the Bank and Royal Rumble winner, among other accolades, Edge was forced into retirement in 2011 because of a neck injury. Taking his place in the WWE Hall of Fame the following year, Edge remained sidelined until 2020 when he heroically returned as an unannounced entrant in that year’s Royal Rumble Match, staging one of the most stirring and least expected comebacks in WWE history.

As Edge continues to go toe-to-toe with WWE’s finest as a member of the SmackDown roster, get ready to celebrate The Rated-R Superstar’s silver anniversary all week long on WWE social channels. From classic lookbacks and never-before-seen photos, to special editions of WWE Top 10 and WWE Playlist, to all-new videos honoring Edge’s legacy, this is a celebration no Edgehead should miss.

Be sure to join the conversation by sharing your own favorite memories of The Rated-R Superstar using the hashtag #Edge25.
