Seth Rollins Comments on Loving People Comparing His & Roman Reigns Current Title Reigns in WWE

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Seth Rollins gave his thoughts about people comparing his reign as current WWE World Heavyweight Champion to Roman Reigns’ current reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

“Immediately people are going to compare whatever my title reign is gonna be to what his title reign is gonna be, my stories to his stories, my character to his character, my promo to his promo and it’s inevitable. It’s awesome. Great, I love it. Let’s talk about it. It’s only gonna make things more exciting. It’s only gonna polarize people more. It’s only gonna give people stronger opinions. Let’s go. I love it. Whatever you got to say, you think about, I’m excited to hear it. I’m excited that we are both in great positions in the prime of our careers. Two different titles. Two different approaches.

It’s always there and it’s always gonna be a matchup people are interested in seeing, and the further we get away from it I think the more people will want to see it when you start to touch on it again. I think that it’s just inevitable. We came up together. We grew into WWE together. We built the industry into what it is over the last decade. We are really going to make it in our image over the next decade and hopefully, we’ll leave the place better than we found it. That matchup is always gonna be huge. Whenever we get back to it, I hope it’s at the right place at the right time.”

Rollins also gave his thoughts about his belief that taking his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to WWE’s NXT brand helps make the belt feel special.

“Taking it down Florida and NXT I think makes it special. You just don’t see that very often. The last time I had a match on NXT was, God, over a decade ago (2013). Getting an opportunity to go down there to the place I really cut my teeth in WWE and bring a brand new world title there and defend it against someone like Bron Breakker, I think it’s gonna put more eyes on NXT, I hope, and bring some attention there.”

In a recent interview with The Pat McAfee Show podcast, Paul Heyman gave his thoughts on why he feels that Roman Reigns’ current run as the “Tribal Chief” has been the best run of all-time in wrestling. Heyman stated “Undisputed. Steve Austin didn’t hold the title for 1,000 days. John Cena didn’t hold the title for 1,000 days. The Rock didn’t hold the title for 1,000 days. Come on. In this era, with this much pressure, with this level of competition, with a murderers’ row of heavyweights that have come after him? How many title defenses against Brock Lesnar? Defeating John Cena, stacking Edge and Daniel Bryan on top of each other in the main event of WrestleMania, admittedly just getting by Cody Rhodes? Come on. Look at the roster that has been defeated by Roman Reigns. It’s an all-time great, legendary roster.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent interview with the Under The Ring podcast, Rhea Ripley gave her thoughts on her becoming the most followed active WWE star on TikTok and WWE making her get on the service despite her initial rejection over it. Ripley stated “Social media is a very interesting place. There is a lot of positivity, but there’s a lot of negativity. Obviously, my TikTok has been going absolutely wild, which is funny because I didn’t even want TikTok. Work made me get it because apparently, I was TikTok famous. They made me get it, and I guess they were right because it skyrocketed, and now I’m the most followed superstar in WWE, which is wild. I don’t really go on social media too much anymore because there is so much negativity. I don’t read as much as I used to read. Obviously, I try and see all the fan art and all the pictures of people doing my makeup, because I like to see that stuff. I like to see the lives that I’ve inspired and the people that I’ve brought the confidence out, in a good way. Most of the time, I’ll post something really cheeky and then get off the app.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
