As noted before, former AEW wrestler The Butcher, real name Andy Williams, passed away this past Sunday following a medical emergency incident at an indie event for Enjoy Wrestling this past Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Enjoy Wrestling issued an official statement on Monday providing some details regarding Williams’ medical emergency and the belief from medics on site that he had suffered a cardiac arrest. The Millvale Police Department provided additional details on Tuesday about Williams’ passing and confirmed an autopsy was performed to determine the official cause of death.
Ring of Honor held a new television tapings for ROH TV on Tuesday at the WJCT Studios in Jacksonville, Florida.
Prior to the start of the tapings, ROH owner Tony Khan came out to the stage and gave a speech honoring Williams. A ten bell salute was held and a memorial graphic for Williams was also shown on the stage’s big screen.
