Bryan Danielson Forearm Injury Status Update – Danielson Underwent Surgery

As noted before, Bryan Danielson has been out of action for AEW since this past June due to a fractured forearm injury.

Danielson provided an update on Twitter stating that he had underwent successful surgery around two weeks ago to repair his fractured forearm.


More on AEW Talent Meeting Prior to July 8th Collision Show

As noted before, AEW held a talent meeting involving talent working for their Collision brand prior to the start of the July 8th Collision show in Regina, Canada.

Fightful Select reported that their sources provided more details regarding this recent talent meeting.

It was reported that the reason why talent working for AEW’s Dynamite brand were mostly unaware of this meeting taking place was due to the main topic of the meeting was mostly about how Collision has differentiated itself so far from Dynamite. It was reported that this change done for Collision managed to reach a point where many of the usual detractors of AEW’s Dynamite shows have been liking the way Collision shows have been done.

It was reported that this meeting was led by CM Punk and there were several topics discussed on how Collision could separate itself from what fans watch on Dynamite, which included the finishes for some matches. Those at the meeting reportedly went over stuff that was and was not good for Collision in regards to match finishes, shenanigans, and other similar stuff.

It was also reported that other topics discussed during this meeting included promoting AEW related projects and shows more, specifically AEW’s recent Fight Forever video game.

It was also reported that some of AEW’s new safety guidelines were also covered during this meeting.


Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts Show News & Notes

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts themed show in Boston, Massachusetts was notable for being officially sponsored by Shark Week as part of this year’s festivities by Warner Bros Discovery. Prior to the start of the show, the people behind Shark Week released a video showing the construction of the cage for the Blood & Guts match between the Blackpool Combat Club and Golden Elite.

Former TNA and Impact Wrestling talent Shark Boy was in attendance backstage at Wednesday’s Dynamite show.

In an interesting note, John Cena’s father John Cena Senior revealed on Twitter that he was in attendance at Wednesday’s Dynamite show as well.

AEW Vice President Pat Buck announced on Twitter that he was unable to attend Wednesday’s Dynamite show due to his wife went into labor as he was on his way traveling to Boston for the show and went to the hospital instead. Buck also announced that their baby daughter was born on Wednesday evening.
