Trey Miguel & Ashley D’Amboise Involved in Hit-and-Run Accident

Impact Wrestling talent Trey Miguel announced on Twitter that he and his fiancée and indie wrestler Ashley D’Amboise were involved in a hit-and-run car accident on Wednesday.

Miguel stated that this accident caused their car to spiral out into a pole and is upset over the lack of help from witnesses who had seen the accident but did not provide any reports to police.

“Was involved in a hit and run tonight that sent my fiancée and I into a pole on the Florida turnpike. The Ford F150 hit a car that hit us and sent us spiraling into a pole before fleeing. No reports from witnesses have been made. Such good people we live amongst. 10 cars, 0 eyes”

More on MLW’s New Partnership with CMLL & NJPW

As noted before, Major League Wrestling recently signed a new strategic partnership alliance with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that talks between the three companies for a new partnership had started in early July.

It was reportedly that MLW officials adjusted their roster to align with CMLL which means that they will no longer be using any Lucha Libre AAA talent going forward for their shows. This reportedly was the reason why certain AAA talent such as Sam Adonis finished up their commitments with MLW in recent months.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that the current plan is for a steady flow of talent between the three companies and MLW’s current goal is to get a big refresh of lucha talent in 2024. It was reported that MLW’s crossover with NJPW is currently expected to get bigger as they head into 2024.

It was also reported that MLW officials currently have plans in place for Salina De La Renta to be a central figure for storylines that involve MLW and CMLL.

Former WWE Wrestler Manu Recently Hospitalized Over Cardiac Issue

Major League Wrestling talent Lance Anoa’i recently announced on Twitter that his uncle and former WWE wrestler Manu, real name Afa Anoa’i Jr., was hospitalized this past weekend due to a “severe and unexpected complex cardiac issue.”

Anoa’i also launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help financially assist his uncle’s hospitalization and medical costs.

“I am writing to ask for help for my brother and hero, Afa Anoa’i Jr. He is currently fighting for his life at the moment. Afa was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, September 23rd finding out that he has a severe and unexpected complex cardiac issue. He went through many tests and major cardiac procedures. His heart injection fraction is only working at 35% and his heart is filling with fluid by the hours. Afa has an extremely long road to recovery. He has major medical bills, and medications needed. So we are asking for any help that you can give. My brother is so young and unexplainable for him to be going through this is at 38 years old. Afa has two amazing and bright children that need their father. Afa has such a vibrant and loving personality, and has always been there for those in need. Afa always has been that guy to go above and beyond for everyone, and is loved by many.

Any medical crisis like this always entails major medical expenses for both him and his family. So we are fundraising to ensure that Afa and his family have the support they need to defray those expenses, and also put Afa on the road to recovery. Anyone who knows my brother Afa, knows what an extraordinary person he is. At this time, I ask that we show up for him the way that he would always show up for us.”
