Hikaru Shida Defeats Abadon in Fright Night Fight Match at Saturday’s AEW Collision Show

Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Uncasville featured Hikaru Shida defeating Abadon in a Fright Night Fight match to retain her AEW Women’s World Championship.

The finish to this match involved Shida hitting Abadon with a running knee strike to lay her out and attempted a top rope broom-assisted Meteora that was countered by Abadon who dodged away. After some more back-and-forth action, Abadon tossed Shida into the corner and grabbed a bucket full of candy that she poured onto the mat. Abadon then hit a Blockbuster to Shida onto the candy for a nearfall. Shida grabbed a kendo stick and nailed Abadon in the head and followed with a knee strike for a nearfall. Shida then put a jack-o-lantern onto Abadon’s head and hit the Katana for the pinfall victory to retain her AEW Women’s World title.


Bryan Danielson Announced to Have Suffered Broken Orbital Bone Injury

Saturday’s Collision show in Unacasville also featured an injury update announcement for Bryan Danielson.

This announcement was given in a video promo by fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Claudio Castagnoli. Castagnoli stated that Danielson suffeered a broken oribital bone injury at this past Wednesday’s Dynamite show and that it was either from Orange Cassidy’s Orange Punch or Kazuchika Okada’s Rainmaker right afterwards. Castagnoli stated that he did not care which move it was and promised revenge on both Okada and Cassidy over what they did to Danielson. Following the promo video, it was announced that Danielson will be undergoing surgery for his injury and will be out of action for the foreseeable future.


Julia Hart & La Faccion Ingobernable Make Surprise Returns at Sat. Collision Show

Saturday’s Collision show in Uncasville also featured Julia Hart and La Faccion Ingobernable making their surprise returns to AEW.

Prior to the start of the Dax Harwood vs. Ricky Starks match, the lights went out and when they came back on, House of Black was seen watching on in the crowd. Following Starks victory over Harwood via some outside assistance by Big Bill, the lights went out again and when they came back on, Julia Hart was seen on the stage and moved her arm out towards the direction of the ring. This led to the lights going out again and when they reappeared, House of Black was in the ring staring down FTR.

Before House of Black, Starks, and Big Bill were able to attack FTR, La Faccion’s music played and RUSH, Preston Vance, and Dralistico made their surprise returns walking down the ramp to the ring. LFI then attacked HoB leading to a mass brawl breaking out with FTR and Starks and Big Bill.
