MJF Comments on Criticisms of Controversial Segment on Tuesday’s Dynamite Show

Tuesday’s AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday show featured a promo segment between MJF and Bullet Club Gold. During the segment, Juice Robinson threatened to attack MJF with a roll of quarters with his name on it.

Robinson’s promo was in reference to a past story MJF has mentioned from his childhood about being bullied by others at school who threw quarters at him in an act that is rooted in antisemitism. This promo also lead to online backlash directed towards AEW over the nature of the segment and its timing with the on-going attacks and war in Israel.

Following the show, MJF responded on Twitter to the online criticisms stating:

“Tonight that piece of shit, Juice Robinson decided to bring up a story from my childhood that has left me scared. I’m glad he did. He brought awareness to something we’ve all gone through in one way, shape, or form in our lives. On behalf of anyone who’s ever been bullied for being different in any capacity. I look forward to leaving him scared too. I also look forward to this Thursday #StandUpToJewishHate”

In regards to the line used by Robinson, Fightful reported that their sources stated that MJF got clearance from AEW officials for the line. Those same sources stated that this was also MJF’s idea since this was the story he wanted to tell on AEW television and was comfortable with it which was the reason why it was cleared.

Cash Wheeler Reportedly Dealing with Injury

This past Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Salt Lake City, Utah featured Big Bill and Ricky Starks defeating FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a relatively quick match.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that their sources stated that the reason for the quick match was due to FTR’s Cash Wheeler is currently dealing with an injury.

Alvarez reported that while the exact nature of Wheeler’s injury is currently not known, it is believed to be a rib-related injury. This reportedly is based on AEW’s storyline of Wheeler dealing with a rib issue following Aussie Open’s double team ramming attack to FTR at WrestleDream and Wheeler selling the same rib injury early into their match against Big Bill and Starks.

Alvarez also reportedly that it is currently not known how long Wheeler will be out of action due to his injury.
