Vince McMahon Reportedly No Longer Believed to be Involved in WWE Creative

TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon reportedly is currently believed to no longer be involved in any way in WWE’s creative process, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the current belief within WWE is that McMahon is no longer involved in the company’s creative and that Paul “Triple H” Levesque has basically been “knighted” by Endeavor to take over full control of WWE’s creative going forward.

Johnson reported that it will likely be a tug-of-war at times between McMahon and Levesque over McMahon giving his thoughts and suggestions with WWE officials likely going with what McMahon wants in these situations. In regards to the week-to-week in the weeds, WWE officials reportedly are going with what Levesque wants for creative plans and directions for shows.

Johnson also reported that there has been a bit of morale boost within WWE’s locker room over the belief that Levesque is in charge of creative again and not McMahon.

Fightful Select reported that their sources provided more details.

It was reported that their sources confirmed that there has been a boost in morale and optimism in recent weeks over this belief that McMahon is no longer involved in creative. It was reported that talent have not been outright told that McMahon is no longer involved nor were most of them told that McMahon had returned to a creative role but all of them knew this to be the case over the changes that were being made to shows.

It was reported that McMahon had stopped making late changes to WWE’s plans for shows from his remote location over the last few weeks with the exceptions of changes needed due to medical-related issues. It was also reported that many of McMahon’s changes were fairly minimal compared to how things used to be under his creative control.

In regards to the backstage reaction of McMahon being out of creative for good, it was reported that the general reaction from talent and staff spoken was one of a unanimous “I’ll believe it when I see it” feeling.

It was also reported that Endeavor officials have looked upon Levesque fondly for a long while.

It was also reported that morale within WWE had been improving since the September 25th RAW show with one high level WWE official stating “One WWE higher up told us “I think you can take a look at the show — Johnny Gargano is back after his return was nixed. Tegan Nox is on the show. Dragon Lee is all over the program. Carlito is finally factored in after being under contract for months. Cameron Grimes got back on TV. Bronson Reed is winning matches. Tag team titles and IC titles are getting long matches to end Raw. I’m not going to say that all of those are direct results of the situation, but all of those parts moving at the same time is a little too much to be a coincidence for me.”

One WWE talent spoken to reportedly stated that their feeling was that most people within WWE’s roster had felt a sense of relief when McMahon had retired from the company in 2022 from both a moral and creative standpoint. Those same talent reportedly stated that answering for McMahon’s behavior was not what most of them signed up for in WWE and beyond that issue, there was not a lot of creative confidence in him.
