WWE Announces Asuka, John Cena, Cody Rhodes, & Paul Heyman for Oct. 10 NXT Show

Asuka’s NXT Return & Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez Announced for Oct. 10th NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT show featured the official announcement of Asuka making her return to NXT and competing in a match against Roxanne Perez at next week’s NXT show.

In a backstage interview segment, Kiana James was busy on the phone with someone and was interrupted by NXT backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell. When asked why she had cost Perez the chance to challenge for the NXT Women’s title at Night 1 of Halloween Havoc 2023 earlier in the show, James stated that she wanted to make sure Perez never got another title shot in NXT.

James also revealed that she had placed a bounty on Perez and the person who accepted her offer was Asuka. James stated that Asuka would be returning to NXT for next week’s show in a match against Perez with the stipulation of if Perez wins, then she will get a match against her afterwards.

John Cena, Cody Rhodes, & Paul Heyman Announced for Oct. 10th NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured the official announcements of John Cena. Cody Rhodes, and Paul Heyman making an appearance at next week’s show.

In regards to Cena, Carmelo Hayes was stopped for an interview in NXT’s parking lot. Hayes gave his thoughts about his match against Bron Breakker at next week’s NXT show and stated that he had a recent phone call with Cena. Hayes revealed that Cena will be in his corner for his upcoming match against Breakker.

In regards to Rhodes, it was announced that he will be making a special appearance on next week’s show. It was also announced that Rhodes will be giving a major announcement on the show.

In regards to Heyman, Heyman made a surprise appearance to close out the show. Heyman gave a promo stating that since Cena has been getting involved in Bloodline stuff of late and Hayes has been getting advice from the second greatest of all-time Cena, Roman Reigns has decided to allow Heyman to provide advice to Breakker and to be in his corner for his match next week.
