Bianca Belair vs. IYO SKY for WWE Women’s Title Announced for Crown Jewel 2023

Friday’s SmackDown show in Milwaukee also featured one new match officially announced for the card of WWE Crown Jewel 2023, which takes place on November 4th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This new match announced is a WWE Women’s Championship match of Bianca Belair vs. IYO SKY (c).

This match was setup following an in-ring promo segment featuring Belair. During her promo, Belair talked about her recent return from injury to SmackDown and stated that while she was away, she only had one thing on her mind that kept playing over and over. Belair pointed to the giant video screen which lead to a video airing showing footage of Belair being attacked by Damage CTRL two months ago. Belair stated that is still hard to watch and getting attacked from being two weeks after getting cashed in and losing her title to SKY did something to her, both mentally and physically. Belair then stated that while she was rehabbing, her body got stronger but her mentality was becoming consumed with wanting vengeance.

Belair stated that this vengeance was what helped her to come up with a plan she discussed with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. Belair revealed that this plan was getting a rematch against SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel 2023, which Aldis granted for her. Belair stated that besides her match with IYO, she also got a match against Bayley who she claimed was the mastermind of the plan to put her on the shelf. Belair ended by saying that her vengeance will not be complete until she takes care of everyone in Damage CTRL and gets her title back.
