Saturday’s Full Gear 2023 event in Los Angeles, California featured Will Ospreay being officially revealed as AEW’s new mystery signing.
During an in-ring segment, AEW commentator and interviewer Tony Schiavone addressed the crowd and stated that it was time to officially reveal who was AEW’s newest signee. This was revealed to be Will Ospreay who came out to a roaring ovation from the crowd.
Ospreay went to the ring and proceeded to sign his contract with AEW. Ospreay stated that he will not be starting right away and instead will finish up his commitments with New Japan Pro Wrestling first before being AEW can have him all they want. Ospreay then called out for opponents to be put in line for him when he officially starts his AEW career and hyped up next year’s All In 2 event at Wembley Stadium.

Following the segment, AEW CEO Tony Khan confirmed that Ospreay was officially signed to the company.
