Women’s WarGames Match Announced for Survivor Series 2023

Friday’s SmackDown show in Evansville featured the announcement of a Women’s WarGames match for WWE’s Survivor Series 2023 event, which takes place on November 25th at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

This match was announced to be Damage CTRL (Bayley, Asuka, Kairi Sane, & IYO SKY) vs. Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, & Becky Lynch.

This match was setup following an in-ring promo segment by Damage CTRL’s Bayley taking about their new and improved group before being corrected by Kai who stated that they are not a new version since Bayley had not officially made Asuka a member yet. After Bayley handed Asuka a Damage CTRL shirt to make her membership official, Kai issued a challenge to Belair, Flair, and Shotzi for a Women’s WarGames match at next Saturday’s Survivor Series 2023 event. This led to Shotzi’s music interrupting and a brawl breaking out with Belair and Flair running in to help Shotzi.

In a follow-up backstage segment, Belair, Flair, and Shotzi discussed their situation with Damage CTRL before being interrupted by SmackDown General Manager Nick Alids who demanded to know who will be their team’s mystery partner by the end of tonight’s show.

In another follow-up segment, Belair, Flair, and Shotzi came out to the ring and Flair gave a promo stating that they accepted Damage CTRL’s challenge for a Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2023. Flair also stated that if they are going to go to war, then there is only one person they want on their side to even the odds. This led to Damage CTRL coming out to interrupt and Bayley stating that Flair and her team would not make it out of the building tonight. Damage CRTL then got into the ring but before anything could happen, Becky Lynch made a surprise appearance and stood by Flair’s side revealing that she was the mystery fourth person Flair was talking about. A mass brawl then broke out between the two teams to close out the show.
