Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara Reunite as a Team at Friday’s Rampage Show

Friday’s taped Rampage show featured Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara officially reuniting as Le Sex Gods.

This was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving Jericho and Guevara. Jericho first talked about his upcoming eight-man tag team match at AEW’s Worlds End and getting to team up with Sting in a match for the first time in his career. Jericho then called for Guevara to come out to iron out their past issues. This led to Guevara coming out to the ring with a microphone in his hand. Jericho stated that while he was upset over Guevara leaving him to join the Don Callis Family, he just wanted to know why it was done. Guevara responded stating that he had blamed Jericho for his lack of success but then looked inward and realized he was holding himself back. Guevara apologized for his actions and Jericho responded back apologizing for being too controlling and maybe pushing him in the wrong direction. Jericho then bashed Don Callis and offered Guevara the chance to reunite Le Sex Gods and go after the AEW World Tag Team Championship that he still has a contractual title shot for. Guevara responded by hugging Jericho and shaking his hands agreeing to Jericho’s offer. Jericho and Guevara then did the Le Sex Gods pose in the middle of the ring.

Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander Announced for AEW World’s End

Friday’s taped Rampage show also featured one new match officially announced for the card of AEW Worlds End, which takes place this Saturday at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

This new match announced was a singles match of Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander.

This match was setup following a backstage interview segment involving Statlander, Nightingale, and Stokely Hathaway. AEW backstage interviewer Renee Paquette stated that Nightingale had requested this interview time in order to clear the air between her and Statlander over any potential issues Statlander might have with her. Nightingale stated that she cherishes her friendship with Statlander and offered the idea of them teaming up together at Worlds End. Hathaway showed up and interrupted trying to drive a wedge between Statlander and Nightingale by bringing up why Nightingale was late at saving Statlander this past Wednesday. Hathaway stated that if they want a match, then they can have it but as a singles match between them. While Nightingale was unsure over the idea, Statlander quickly accepted it. Afterwards, a match graphic showed up confirming it for the show and that it would be taking place during the Zero Hour Pre-show.
