Brian Myers Signs New Contract with Impact/TNA

Impact/TNA Wrestling announced that Brian Myers recently signed a new contract to remain in the company for the foreseeable future.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Myers gave his thoughts about his decision to stay in Impact/TNA.

“This is the most fun I’ve had in my entire career. The past three-and-a-half years, it’s been a perfect fit. I get to be the best version of myself while being a TNA Wrestling star, so this decision was pretty easy for me.”


Prestige Wrestling Announced Rey Fenix Pulled from Their Roseland 7 Event Due to Injury

Prestige Wrestling recently announced that they have pulled Rey Fenix from the card of their upcoming Roseland 7 event on January 5, 2024 in Portland, Oregon due to Fenix currently dealing with an injury-related issue.

It was also announced that Samuary Del Sol will be replacing Fenix for his scheduled match against Lio Rush at the event.

Fenix has been out of action for AEW and the indies since this past October due to him currently recovering from several injuries.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Dragon Gate recently announced that New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Shingo Takagi will be making an appearance for the company at their Masaaki Mochizuki 30th Anniversary Show on January 10, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. It was also announced that Takagi will be facing off against Masaaki Mochizuki in a singles match at the event.

Dragon Gate also recently announced that their Open the Twin Gate Championship has been vacated due to Yuki Yoshioka recently suffering an injury. It was also announced that Kota Minoura & Ben K will be facing off against Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Alejandro & Kaito Kiyomiya to crown a new Open the Twin Gate Champions at their December 24th event in Fukuoka, Japan.

All Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced that Davey Boy Smith Jr. will be making his official debut for the company at their December 31st event in Shibuya, Japan. It was announced that Smith Jr. will be teaming up with Minoru Suzuki & Omori Hokuto in a Six-Man Tag Team match against Suwama, Hideki Suzuki, & Mitsuru Sato at the event.

WrestleCon recently announced that WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon 2024 on April 4-7, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

NJPW recently announced the updated list of talents who will be making an appearance at their Battle In The Valley 2024 event on January 13th in San Jose, California.

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley announced on Facebook that his wife gave birth to a new son named DJ on Tuesday.

As noted before, VICE TV is set to release a new wrestling-based documentary based on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan as part of their Nine Lives Of series next month on the network. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a recent commercial aired by VICE for the series no longer featured clips advertising an episode based on Hogan. Johnson reported that it is currently not known if VICE officials had pulled their plans nor the current status of this episode.

Game Changer Wrestling recently announced that Alex Hammerstone will be making an appearance for the company at their The Coldest Winter 2 event on February 3, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

Major League Wrestling recently announced that they are currently in talks with several free agents for potential contracts with the company.

MLW reportedly is currently expected to officially announce soon a new match of Matt Riddle vs. Jacob Fatu for their upcoming Kings of Colosseum 2024 event on January 6th in Philadelphia based on a recent official flyer for the event, according to Fightful.

MLW announced two new matches for the card of their MLW Fusion tapings on January 6th in Philadelphia:

  • Nao Kakuta vs. Moka Miyamoto
  • Intergender match – Good Brother #3 vs. Steph De Lander
