Brian Cage Dealing with Torn Lat Injury

Brian Cage announced earlier today that he is working through a torn latissimus injury for the reason why he was seen wearing a lot of Kinesio tape on his back during his Eight-Man tag team match during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Homecoming 2024 show.

Earlier in the week, Cage stated on Instagram that he might have had suffered an injury during his AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Four-way match at the January 3rd Dynamite show.

CJ Perry Finger Infection Status Update – Perry Scheduled to Undergo Second Surgery

As noted before, CJ Perry announced on Wednesday that she was hospitalized for a second time over complications from surgery she underwent this past December for an infection on her finger that spread to her arm.

Perry provided an update earlier today on Instagram partially in character stating that she had some infected tissue removed and is currently scheduled to undergo a second surgery next week.

“Karma is purring in my lap …. But worth it to make sure @andradealmas was sent off properly at #AEWWorldsEnd @aew. Second surgery next week. Draining mersa daily.

Flesh and scabs cut out of my finger again today. Antibiotics again. Possible full blown second surgery next week but I would risk it all again for my ex clients, future clients and current clients.”

Ann Jay vs. Julia Hart for TBS Title Announced for Battle of the Belts IX

During Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Homecoming 2024 show at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, AEW announced one new official match for the card of their Battle of the Belts IX special, which takes place on January 13th in Norfolk, Virginia.

This new match announced was a TBS Championship match of Anna Jay vs. Julia Hart (c).

This match was setup following Jay’s team being victorious over Hart’s team in a Brodie Lee tribute Eight-Woman tag team match during the show.

Current card for AEW Battle of the Belts IX:

• AEW World Tag Team Championship Street Fight match – Le Sex Gods (Sammy Guevara & Chris Jericho) vs. Big Bil & Ricky Starks (c)
• TBS Championship – Anna Jay vs. Julia Hart (c)
