Saturday’s Battle in the Valley 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in San Jose, California featured AEW talent Jack Perry making a surprise appearance and official debut for NJPW.
Following Fred Rosser, Jacob Fatu, and Shota Umino’s victory over Team Filthy in the opening match, a mysterious masked person jumped over the barricade and attacked Umino as he was leaving the ring. This person then took off their mask revealing himself to be Jack Perry.
Perry continued his attack on Umino and and pulled out an AEW contract. Jerry the proceeded to rip the contract in half and put on an armband that had the words “SCAPEGOAT” on it.
