Video: Eddie Kingston

ROH began this week with words from Saturday night from Eddie Kingston after winning the Continental Classic, the Continental Crown, and retaining the ROH World and NJPW Strong Championships. He wouldn’t have believed someone if they told him that he would hold a Triple Crown like his heroes, but he did it. Kingston was happiest to do it against his friend Moxley, having finally scored his first win against him at World’s End.

Griff Garrison vs. Serpentico

Griff Garrison doesn’t have it. There’s no emotion or feeling behind his moves, he’s just a guy doing moves out there.

Serpentico kept Garrison flat-footed early on, sending him out of the ring with a headscissors. Caprice Coleman seems to have lost his voice on commentary, which is unfortunate. Karter distracted Serpentico in the ring, and even with Angelico chopping his knee, Garrison was able to take control with a club from behind. Garrison leveled Serpentico with a lariat. Garrison dropped Serpentico with a pair of back suplexes before landing a pendulum facebuster for a nearfall.

Serpentico rolled out of a Torture Rack and fought back, landing a flatliner for a nearfall. The two men traded rolling elbows before Garrison hit a Torture Rack Powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Griff Garrison via Pinfall.

Lance Archer vs. JP Harlow

Harlow was upset that Archer didn’t shake his hand for the Code of Honor, so he slapped Archer in the face. That worked out about as well as you would think, as Archer shook his hand before chokeslamming him. Harlow got about 10 seconds of offense before Archer hit a rising knee in the corner and the Blackout for the win.

Winner: Lance Archer via Pinfall.

“Pretty” Peter Avalon vs. Dalton Castle

Castle was still in a funk here, coming out with a sandwich and lacking his usual pinache. Avalon knocked Castle off of the top rope early on, with Castle torquing his knee on the apron. Avalon hit a Death Valley Driver for a nearfall.

Castle rolled out of the ring multiple times to avoid a potential top rope move from Avalon. Castle then fired up with suplexes before losing interest during the Bangarang, allowing Avalon to roll Castle up for a nearfall. Avalon hit the Marti-Knees to the back of Castle for a nearfall before Castle landed a back elbow and a fully motivated Bangarang for the win.

Winner: Dalton Castle via Pinfall.

Backstage: Men of the Year

Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky were backstage with Lexy Nair. Sky said that Page supported him during his run as TNT Champion, so Sky would support Page during his run here in Ring of Honor. Page has full support from his family and friends, helping to make him the best Ethan Page he could be. Page said that 2024 would be the year of the Men of the Year.

Queen Aminata vs. Maya World

World got an early advantage, but Aminata got her knees up on a split-legged moonsault to take control. Aminata ran through her offense, hitting a hip attack and a face wash boot for a nearfall. World came back with a bridging flash pin for a nearfall, but Aminata hammered her with forearms and scored the submission win with the Juicy Lock.

Winner: Queen Aminata via Submission.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match
The Infantry (Charlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean) vs. The Boys (Brandon & Brent Tate) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Lee Moriarty & Shane Taylor)

We got quick tags early on between all three teams before the Infantry isolated one of the Boys. Taylor cut them off by dragging Dean to the floor and hitting him with the knockout punch. Taylor followed up with a headbutt on Bravo before the Boys and the Infantry teamed up to take him down and out of the ring. The Infantry hit a TKO/German Suplex combination for a nearfall. The Infantry hit Boot Camp on a Boy, but Taylor got a blind tag in, allowing Taylor to hit the Marcus Garvey Driver on the Boy to score the win.

Winner: Shane Taylor Promotions via Pinfall.

Backstage: Griff Garrison, Cole Karter, Spanish Announce Project

Griff Garrison & Cole Karter were backstage with Lexy Nair. They were interrupted by Angelico & Serpentico, who chop blocked the both of them.

Red Velvet vs. Alex Gracia

It’s good to see more women with upside getting work on ROH after the announcement of the Women’s TV Title. Both Red Velvet and Queen Aminata have high ceilings, and getting more reps in ROH will only help them get closer to it.

Gracia caught Velvet in the ropes before hitting a backstabber for a nearfall. Gracia hit a cross body out of the corner for a nearfall before a flash pin only got a nearfall. Velvet came back with strikes in the corner before hitting double knees against the ropes. Gracia hit a running knee for a nearfall, but Velvet came back to hit The Mix for the win.

Winner: Red Velvet via Pinfall.

Leyla Hirsh & Rachael Ellering vs. Mercedes Martinez & Diamante

Ellering and Hirsch worked on a blind tag, allowing Ellering to catch Diamante with a senton to take control. Martinez yanked Hirsch off of the apron to give her team the advantage, as they clubbered on Hirsch in the corner. Hirsch hit a cartwheel German suplex on Diamante before finally getting the tag out to Ellering, who ran wild on both her opponents. The match broke down into a Pier Six brawl, ending with Martinez hitting an Air Raid Crash on Ellering for the win.

Winner: Mercedes Martinez & Diamante via Pinfall.

Video: Eddie Kingston

We got another video detailing Eddie Kingston’s journey to winning the Continental Classic and retaining the ROH World Championship as part of the Triple Crown.

ROH World Television Championship
Willie Mack vs. Kyle Fletcher (c)

Having a title match on this show gives such a jolt of energy to these shows, especially when those title matches are these Kyle Fletcher showcases. He has a knack for getting crowds invested in his matches, and that investment should increase as his title reign continues.

The two went back and forth early on before Mack sent Fletcher flying with armdrags and a headscissors. Fletcher caught a charging Mack and hit a tilt-a-whirl slam to cut him off. The two men traded chops in opposite corners before Fletcher hit a running back elbow for a nearfall. Fletcher hit bodyslams and forearms to Mack before Mack came back with a lariat and a spinning heel kick.

Mack hit a bodyslam of his own before landing a cannonball in the corner. Mack hit a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Fletcher came back with a Yakuza Kick and a leg lariat before Mack kicked out of a brainbuster. Fletcher set up the leg lariat against the ropes, but Mack came back with a Shining Wizard. Mack sent Fletcher into the buckles with a running Razor’s Edge. Mack locked on a Texas Cloverleaf, but Fletcher quickly got to the ropes.

Fletcher and Mack traded strikes in the corner before Mack met Fletcher on the top rope. Fletcher took Mack down with a Michinoku Driver off the top rope for a nearfall. Fletcher then hit the leg lariat against the ropes but couldn’t pull Mack up for the Hammerlock Tombstone. He changed his tactics and hit a reverse Tombstone to score the win and a successful first defense.

Winner: Kyle Fletcher via Pinfall to retain the ROH World Television Championship.

Backstage: Dalton Castle, Johnny TV, Taya Valkyrie

Dalton Castle was backstage with Lexy Nair. He was still upset about Johnny TV costing him the TV Title. Johnny and Taya Valkyrie entered the scene and bragged about costing Castle his title match. Castle said he wouldn’t rest until he got his satisfaction. This was very silly, as Lexy couldn’t keep a straight face around these maniacs.

Gringo Loco & The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake) vs. Lee Johnson, El Hijo del Vikingo, & Komander

We got tags in and out, with the lucha team impressing with their high-flying abilities. Things quickly broke down as Loco sent Vikingo onto his partners before hitting a dive to the floor. Drake hit a rebound forearm before Henry hit a frog splash for a nearfall. The rudo team clubbered on Vikingo before he got a tag out to Johnson. Johnson took Henry to the floor before Komander tagged in and took out the big men with double armdrags.

Vikingo and Komander went to the top rope and hit dual moonsaults out of the same corner. Vikingo and Henry were left in the ring, where Vikingo hit the X Knee. Henry caught an imploding rana and turned it into a double knee backbreaker for a nearfall. Vikingo cut off Henry on the top rope, then tagged Komander in.

We got a double stack Electric Chair Powerbomb from Loco, in a move that I’ve never seen before, nor do I think I properly explained. Loco had both Vikingo and Komander on his shoulders, stacked one on top of the other, before spinning them both out for a powerbomb. After a short flurry, Komander caught Loco with a flash pin for the win.

Winner: Lee Johnson, El Hijo del Vikingo, & Komander via Pinfall.
