As noted before, Slim Jim was expected to pull out as the lead sponsor for this Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble 2024 event over issues related to a new lawsuit against TKO Group Executive Chairman Vince McMahon accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards a former WWE employee.
In an official statement given to Post Wrestling’s John Pollock, Slim Jim confirmed that they will no longer be the official sponsor for this Saturday’s event and have paused all of their promotions activities with WWE in light of the current “disturbing allegations” against McMahon.
It was also announced that they are currently monitoring the situation and will make a decision regarding the future of their partnership with WWE based on what is best for their company.
“Slim Jim values integrity and respect in all of our partnerships. Given the recent disturbing allegations against Vince McMahon, at this time we’ve decided to pause our promotional activities with WWE. This decision reflects our commitment to our brand values and responsibility to our community.
We will continue to monitor the situation and base our future engagements on our values and what’s best for our brand.”
