Jacob Fatu MLW Contract Expiration Updatd – Fatu Confirms Contract Expired & Final MLW Match This Weekend

As noted before, Major League Wrestling talent Jacob Fatu’s contract with the company is believed to have expired on Friday.

A recent virtual fan signing event for Signed By Superstars featured Fatu as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Fatu confirming that his contract with MLW has expired. Fatu also stated that his match against Yuji Nagata at tonight’s SuperFight 2024 event will be his final match in MLW before he leaves.

“Tonight (at MLW SuperFight) is the final match. Tonight is the final match against (Yuji) Nagata. Philadelphia has been home to me within the past what? Six years. I’ve been with MLW — well almost six years — well no, almost five years. I was coming out here a year before that.”

Fatu also gave his thoughts about his interest in a potential career in WWE and who he would be interested the most in having matched against in the company.

“GUNTHER (is someone I’d like to work with if I went to WWE). That’s hard, that’s hard. GUNTHER, probably be GUNTHER. I mean GUNTHER, just a lot of my people. Dragon Lee. That’s my boy Dragon Lee but, with a love and respect with him, if it’s NXT.”

Mick Foley Comments on Considering Having One Final Deathmatch for His 60th Birthday

In a recent episode of the Foley Is Pod podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and co-host Mick Foley gave his thoughts about him currently considering the idea of having one final deathmatch for his career for his 60th birthday.

“60’s right around the corner. Thinking of doing one final match for my sixtieth birthday, a Deathmatch. I’m not kidding. I think it’d be a great incentive to drop those 100 big ones. I think it might be fun. No [it wouldn’t be in WWE], I don’t think so. I think it would be a pretty gory spectacle. I’m just thinking about it. I put it out there to two of my kids. They’re like, ‘Would you get hurt?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, probably, [laughs].”
