Mercedes Mone Makes AEW Debut at AEW Big Business Show, Signs Official AEW Contract

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Big Business show at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts featured Mercedes Mone making her official debut in AEW.

At the start of the show, Renee Paquette was backstage giving a rundown of what was set to come tonight only to be almost run over by a limo that arrived. The door to the limo opened but before the person inside of it could be seen, the camera quickly cut to ringside.

A video aired shortly afterwards on the big screen playing music and flashing the letters “CEO” before revealing Mercedes Mone’s name. Mone then came out and made her way to the ring to a very loud reaction from the crowd.

Mone grabbed a microphone and called out Boston stating that she was home. Mone then stated that she thanks the fans for having her back the past two years, for giving her the courage and strength to be here, and for sticking with her through all of her lows, highs, milestones, and moments. Mone then stated that they are going to be making so much magic and moments together and every one of these fans is the reason why she is here. After some heartful words about how much tonight means to hear and people like Eddie Guerrero giving her something to believe in, Mone talked about a women’s revolution in the wrestling industry and getting to main event the first-ever women’s main event of a PPV show in this very building.

Mone then talked about taking care of her brother and the struggle to chase her dreams and called out Chaotic Wrestling for being the start of her pursue of a dream to become the greatest female wrestler of all time. After some more words, Mone stated that she is in AEW because she needs to be here and AEW is the only place where the revolution can be global. Mone then stated that she can not wait to tear it up with the women on AEW’s roster and mentioned Willow Nightingale and Riho.

Mone then turned her attention to Nightingale and stated that they still had some unfinished business between the two, in reference to their match at NJPW Resurgence 2023 for the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.

Mone then announced that she is All Elite leading to an #AllElite graphic showing on the big screen. Mone then closed off by welcoming the arrival of the CEO in AEW.

Following Mone’s appearance, AEW CEO Tony Khan confirmed on Twitter that Mone had recently signed an official contract with the company.
