ComicBook.com held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan discussing The Shield’s appearance at WWE’s recent event.

When asked about the lack of an actual Shield reunion moment, Khan stated that the reason was due to WWE did not reach out to AEW about the possibility of Jon Moxley making a surprise one-off appearance at the event.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that WWE did not reach out to AEW about using Jon Moxley for a one-off appearance during the Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns main event.

Dustin Rhodes Comments on His Upcoming AEW World Title Eliminator Match Against Samoa Joe

Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Dustin Rhodes. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about his upcoming AEW World Championship Eliminator match against Samoa Joe at tonight’s AEW Dynamite show.

“I’m going to go out there and earn it. Joe’s a big, tough SOB, but I can’t wait to lock horns. I’ve been knocked down too many times to remember, but I’ve gotten back up every single time. I’m one tough SOB, too, and I’m going to fight with every ounce of energy in my body.”

Rhodes also gave his thoughts about his promo on the April 6th AEW Collision show about him never winning a World Championship in his lengthy career and wanting to change that with his current goal of wanting to win the AEW World Championship.

“I was very proud of that promo. The ultimate dream is to become world heavyweight champion. Time is slipping, but that is still what I’m chasing. I’m still dreaming about it, too, still working toward it.”
