Following the match, Moxley gave a speech to the crowd reflecting on his victory and the amount of young talent NJPW has that he feels are ready to graduate to the next level. Moxley stated that since he is on the top of the mountain and champion, that makes him the boss and called out Shota Umino for the first person to “graduate” and receive a title shot. This led to Ren Narita coming out instead and attacked Moxley. Narita then grabbed a microphone and stated that he was next for Moxley instead. Following Umino running out to save Moxley and chased Narita out of the ring, Moxley responded congratulating Narita for graduating to a “dead man.”
“I’m next challenger, motherf*cker.”
