WWE: Bo Dallas WWE Return Plans Update, Piper Niven Confirms Broken Hand Injury, More News

Update on WWE’s Return Plans for Bo Dallas – Multiple Teases Appear at Monday’s RAW Show

As noted before, WWE is currently working on plans for Bo Dallas’ and the Uncle Howdy character potential return to the company. Dallas’ potential return was first teased in WWE’s Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary that was released earlier this month.

Monday’s WWE RAW After Mania show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was notable for featuring a “Hello” message screen glitch that took place during Bronson Reed’s backstage promo segment. Besides the screen glitch for the television audience, cryptic music played and the lights went off and came back on for the live audience.

Fightful Select reported that the clues given by WWE during Monday’s show were from the recently released Wyatt documentary hinting at Dallas’ upcoming return to the company. It was reported that it is currently not known what version of Dallas will be returning in regards to being simply just Dallas, Uncle Howdy, or something else.

Piper Niven Confirms Broken Hand Injury

As noted before, Piper Niven has been absent from in-ring action for WWE since this past February due to an injury that is currently believed to be a broken hand injury.

A recent episode of the Gorilla Position podcast featured Niven as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Niven confirming that she had suffered a broken hand injury and is currently recovering from it.

“Who wants to see my gross hand? I broke my hand (she laughed). Training, trying to be a better performer. So obviously, the universe was like, no, no, no, you’re too good. They was like, hey bro, you can’t — come on, you gotta give everybody else a chance. So yeah, broke my hand unfortunately… This happened the 7th of February. So, just over two months. Just over two months but it’s getting a little better. So, and now I have this gnarly little bone callus that I can’t wait to backfist people with. So yeah, that’s what I’ve been doing.

Not as of just yet but hopefully soon, hopefully soon (I’ll be cleared)… Honestly, I feel like this was kind of necessary. I’ve never broken a bone or really had — I’ve been out before, especially with COVID and stuff, but I never had any real injury and I kind of feel like this was a very necessary learning experience for me and so, even though I’ve been injured with a broken bone and rehabbing that and everything that comes with that, I have been doing so much work. Inner work, ring work, learning about myself and my profession and honestly, I really think this was a necessary setback to be better as a performer. So I’m very, very excited to show everyone that when I get back.”

Levesque stated “So great to have her back home. I get her home all the time, but to have her back here. To see the doubt leave her by being here the last few days. To see her confidence come back and to know that this is her home. All of you, all of us, all this business, it’s her home. As much as anybody on the planet, she belongs here. Hopefully she knows that now. Happy to have her back.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent interview with NBC’s TODAY Show, Cody Rhodes gave his thoughts about his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship victory at this past Sunday’s WWE WrestleMania 40 Night 2 event. Rhodes stated “What was fun was at the point of the match when John (Cena) comes down, it was like lightning struck in the arena. Just, he brings an energy that’s very John Cena, very special. Also, he’s been the quarterback of the WWE, he’s been the champion. Then to have The Undertaker, which is a different level of energy. 40 years of WrestleMania was basically celebrated in one match and then The People’s Champ as he likes to call himself, The Rock. Just again, 40 years and I think the fans felt every bit of that.” (Transcript h/t: PostWrestling.com)
