Saturday’s WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 event at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia featured the first match officially announced for this year’s Clash at the Castle event, which takes place on June 15th at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
This new match announced was a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match of Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest (c).
This match was initially setup on the May 13th WWE RAW show involving Priest granting a future title shot to McIntyre once he heals up following their insults-filled promo segment.
During today’s show, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque came out and stated that he had a special big announcement to make. Levesque stated that McIntyre was recently medically cleared. Levesque also stated that McIntyre will be officially challenging Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at next month’s Clash at the Castle 2024 event in Scotland.
