Ric Flair Comments on His Recent Restaurant Ejection Incident & Considered Legal Action

As noted before, WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling legend Ric Flair was recently involved in an incident at a Florida restaurant resulting in his removal from the restaurant over his conduct towards a restaurant employee.

A recent episode of Q105’s The MJ Morning Show featured Flair as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Flair’s thoughts about his recent incident at a Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza restaurant in Florida.

“It just escalated and I was wrong for getting mad, but I kind of felt like I was defending my position.

I was wrong for losing my temper. When I feel like I’m put in that area where I’m uncomfortable and all of a sudden everything just fell apart, I got upset.

I was wrong for getting upset. I probably just should have just walked out the door, but it caught me so off-guard because we were having a wonderful time. Then all of a sudden … someone in their kitchen said I did something wrong in the bathroom and there’s no one there except me and him.”

In a separate interview with The Gainesville Sun, Flair stated that a member of the staff had approached him in the bathroom that caused his outburst in response.

“I’m like, I don’t shake hands or take photos in bathrooms. Any man that goes into a bathroom knows you can see into the stall. I said, ‘Get your a– off there, I need to use the restroom.”

Flair also stated that after leaving the bathroom, a female member of the staff had allegedly called him a “creep” and “peeping tom.”

“I’m not going to tolerate that and you wouldn’t either … That’s a pretty offensive remark. I’ll be quite honest with you, I was pissed because I didn’t do anything wrong. It’s my word against the kitchen employee and it makes no sense. I admit to everything I said. I have no problem with it because I was mad. I have the money to buy the restaurant. It’ll be called Ric Flair’s Italian Bistro.”

In the same interview, Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza co-owner Jerry Roberts was also interviewed and stated that he rejected the large tip that Flair had given to several staff members following the incident out of principle and instead paid the staff the tipped amount out of the ownership’s team pocket.

“It was really a matter of principle on how our team was treated and no matter how much money someone’s willing to spend, if their not going to treat our team with respect, we just felt like that was the right thing to do.”
