As noted before, Chad Gable’s contract with WWE is believed to have expired on June 7th but despite his contract situation, he is still scheduled to compete for the Intercontinental Championship at this Saturday’s Clash at the Castle 2024 event in Glasgow, Scotland.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials are currently under the belief that Gable will be staying in the company. No other details were given regarding talks for a potential new deal beyond a “great” offer currently being on the table for Gable.
Meltzer reported that there were several people within AEW, including FTR, who had been pushing for the company to potentially sign Gable should he become available on the market.
