” (My) time with them has just finished.
I’m really focused on finding talent and cultivating them and helping them become the best wrestler, champion possible. I guess you could say I want to be the Paul Heyman.”
In regards to Perry’s departure from AEW, Fightful Select reported that their sources within AEW stated that Perry was part of the batch of talent who were released this past April although her departure was not publicly announced at the time.
It was reported that Perry was initially signed to a per-appearance type contract before later signing a regular full-time contract with the company.
In regards to if AEW had any plans for her return from injury, it was reported that AEW officials had not anticipated that Perry would return to the company due to the injuries to both herself and her on-air clients had impeded that situation.
Prior to her departure, Perry had been working for AEW since this past September’s All Out 2023 event. Perry had been out of action for the company since this past December of 2023 due to finger infection injury and surgery.
