As noted before, Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract with AEW is currently set to expire between this August and September.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Penta’s tag partner and real life brother Rey Fenix’s contract with AEW is also currently expected to be expiring this year.
It was reported that the exact expiration date of Fenix’s contract is currently not known but it is set to expire at some point this year.
Those close to the situation reportedly stated that AEW is looking to make sure both Penta and Fenix remain with the company for years to come and offers have already been made to both of them. The two sides reportedly have already engaged in negotiations but the current status of these talks are currently not known.
It was reported that should Fenix become available on the market, WWE is expected to show a lot of interest in potentially signing him to a deal, much like his brother Penta.
Fenix has been working for AEW since February of 2019.
