As noted before, Shane McMahon and AEW CEO Tony Khan held a private meeting this past Monday in Arlington, Texas to discuss “possibilities moving forward” in regards to McMahon potentially working for AEW in the future.
In a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio After Dark podcast, co-host Bully Ray read an official statement given to him by McMahon about his recent meeting with Khan.
“Tony and I were connected through a mutual friend and we had a great meeting. We talked about many things, but mostly about our shared love for the business and the rewards and challenges of working with family. I congratulated him on the five-year anniversary of AEW and look forward to see how he evolves the business moving forward.”
Just got off the phone with Shane McMahon. Got the scoop and a direct quote from him regarding the meeting with Tony Khan.
