Powerhouse Hobbs Knee Injury & AEW Return Plans Update – Hobbs Reportedly Medically Cleared for In-Ring Return
As noted before, Powerhouse Hobbs has been out of action for AEW since this past April due to a knee injury.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Hobbs was medically cleared in the past recent weeks for an in-ring return to AEW.
It was reported that Hobbs has been backstage at various AEW shows while recovering and had undergone extensive testing before the call was made to clear him for an in-ring return.
In regards to a potential return date for Hobbs, it was reported that the only wait for Hobbs is for AEW officials to put together the right creative plans in place for his return.
Kevin Kelly & Tate Twins Defamation Lawsuit Against AEW – Judge Approved Sealing of Kelly & Tate Twins AEW Contracts
As noted before, former AEW commentator Kevin Kelly and former AEW and ROH talents The Tate Twins (Brandon & Brent Tate), former The Boys, filed a defamation lawsuit earlier this month against AEW, AEW CEO Tony Khan, and AEW/ROH commentator Ian Riccaboni.
Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reported that the presiding judge in the case recently approved AEW’s request to have Kelly and the Tate Twins talent contracts with the company to be sealed. The judge also approved for redactions in Kelly and the Tate Twins complaint that references their contracts.
MJF Joins Cast of Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2” Film
As noted before, MJF is currently on a break from AEW since their All Out 2024 event earlier this month in Hoffman Estates, Illinois due to his scheduled filming work for the production of an upcoming movie.
Deadline reported that their sources stated that MJF has joined the cast of Adam Sandler’s upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 film.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that MJF will be portraying the role of Gordie, one of Happy Gilmore’s sons, in the film.
Johnson reported that the script for the film calls for all of Gilmore’s sons to be seen at different ages across the film and production for the film is taking place in New Jersey through this November. Johnson reported that it is currently not known how long MJF will be involved in the filming.
