Tuesday’s World Tag League 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Koriyama, Japan featured the Young Bucks’ Matthew & Nicholas Jackson making a surprise appearance.
Following United Empire’s Great-O-Khan & HENARE’s victory over House of Torture’s Ren Narita & EVIL in a tournament match for the main event, Khan & HENARE’s victory celebration was interrupted by the lights going out.
This led to a video airing on the big screen featuring the Young Bucks standing in the backyard of their home. After some words boasting about their past in New Japan and recent induction into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame, Matthew talked about them returning to Japan on January 5th. Nicholas responded talking about that being the same date as Wrestle Dynasty and issued a challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championship, currently held by Khan and HENARE, at the event. Nicholas claimed that they will win the titles again as the video went to a close. The video then resumed again featuring Matthew talking to someone on phone about his kids and Nicholas deciding to do a back flip into his pool while wearing a suit as the video went to a close again for good.

After the video ended, Khan grabbed a microphone and accepted the Young Bucks challenge for their tag titles at Wrestle Dynasty.
O-Khan: What was that video supposed to be? They're superstars? Never mind. We will win World Tag League, and then what? January 5? We will accept your challenge. Now before we were rudely interrupted, there was a O-Khan chant.
