As noted before, WWE’s RAW television series will be officially premiering on Netflix on January 6, 2025 as part of WWE’s new media rights deal with the streaming service.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within WWE stated that company officials recently made a big change to their broadcast plans for RAW following its move to Netflix.
Johnson reported that the current plan is for RAW to air live no mater where the show is being taped that week. This reportedly would mean that when WWE is holding a show in Europe, RAW will stream live in the United States at the same time regardless of the time zone differences.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that the current plan is to have the show air live as it happens and then be available on VOD as soon as possible once the show goes off the air.
Johnson reported that WWE will no longer be doing tape delayed shows for the U.S. in order to wait for their usual 8PM EST start time. Johnson also reported that WWE’s upcoming new European tour leading up to next year’s WrestleMania 41 event means that those RAW shows would air live in the U.S. in the afternoon.
